What In The World Is The Ohme Bug?
Ohme is my Grandmother Name and my Squidoo Name

When I needed an avatar for my Squidoo Account, I thought about my Grandmother name which is Ohme. My grandson gave me that name because I said "Ohhhhhhhhh meeeee" a lot when he was little. I was due a knee replacement and it was hard to get to a standing position while holding him so I would say "Ohhhhhhhh meeeee" and he would mock me. I would laugh and then he would laugh. He then started saying it everytime he saw me and the name just stuck.
I took the 4 letters from the Ohme name and made this little bug character who has developed a personality all of her own. I noticed on Zazzle that you could have a statute made and of course I had one made of the Ohme Bug. She sits near my computer and advises me from time to time.
Where In The World Is The OhMe Bug?
In Pendleton SC On The Town Square
On November 5, 2010 the Ohme Bug will be hidden in one of our shops on the square participating in the Holiday Open House in the Village. She will be in plain view somewhere in one of our wonderful shops on or near the square.
The Photo Sculpture by Zazzle is described this way:
Sculpture (with Stand)
Whether on a desk at the office or in the living room, photo sculptures bring your memories to life. Made of acrylic with black stand. Final sculpture size depends on cut-out size of your image.
The Acrylic Ohme Bug is 3 inches tall including the black stand.
I also have a shop on Zazzle called Ohme's Zazzle
What Do You Need To Do To Find The Ohme Bug?
Do you need to visit each shop on the square?
I think it would be wonderful if each person looking for the Ohme Bug did visit each and every shop on or near the square. Yes, you could spend a whole day going from shop to shop. You don't have to make a purchase but of course, it would be nice. Please spend some time in each shop and see what all they have. Introduce yourself to the owner and tell her/him what you are doing. You might see something that you would like to purchase for a Christmas Gift for maybe something for yourself.
She could be hiding among the stamps at the Mercantile or standing beside one of the Beyers Carolers at Avenue of Oaks. She could be in one of the many nooks and crannys at Village Station Antiques or on a shelf at Parker Originals. Maybe she is on top of a book at Mountain Made Antiques or sitting in a shoe at C2 Consignments or she could be well hidden among the treasures at Past Time Antiques.
Last time that Ohme went into hiding, she was found at BlueRidge Antiques so maybe she has found her way back there or next door at Colonial Square Antiques. She could be at The Framery or in the window of Ammons Portrait Studio.
So what are you waiting for? Head to Pendleton SC and shop around with one eye looking out for the Ohme Bug.
Check Out The Shops On The Square On This Lens.
Remember the Ohme Bug is actually in the shop - not on the lens.
What Do You Do If You Find The Ohme Bug?
The first thing you do is to tell the store owner or clerk.
The prize for finding the Ohme Bug will remain a secret until she is found. When you show the store owner that you have found the Ohme Bug, she/he will take the bug and give you your prize, call me, and get your name and contact information.
The winner will have their name and a photo published on this Squidoo Lens if they so desire.

- Too funny ! - Maybe Rockapella would record your a version of "where in the world is ....." - Sean Altman wrote the orig, and Rockapella has performed it countless times (pretty much at every concert for well over a decade - pushing 2) - has also adapted it a few times such as the Matt Lauer version...LOL - bet your little game is fun in your little town ! wish i was there !

- What fun..you are truly inspirational and a great asset to your town! I took that long quiz although I really guessed at most answers and I didn't do so well..but it was fun ( I love quizzes) and tweeted my poor results too! I love your idea of making the Ohme bug into a Zazzle photo sculpture and then hiding it...how clever. Thanks so much for the blessing on my Christian lens..and have a very merry Christmas in Pendleton!
