Cold Pressed Cooking Oils
I will be focusing on cooking oil that is cold pressed. I know that most of us hear cooking oil and think vegetable, canola or olive oil. I have since moved on from all but the olive oil. I still can't give up my extra virgin olive oil.
If you're looking for different varieties of oil then you should learn more about how they are made and refined. Or as I prefer unrefined. It'll be an eye opener.

Why Use Cold Pressed Cooking Oils?
When you use high heat when extracting oil you will lose most of the flavor and take away some of the nutritional value. Personally I didn't even know oil had flavor until I started using extra virgin olive oil. It's amazing what a difference that makes over the bland oils that most households use.
So why would a company use heat to extract oil knowing that you'll get an inferior product? Well because using heat increases the yield. It's not to say that you shouldn't buy oil that isn't cold pressed, but why wouldn't you? Well most would stay away from it because it has a higher cost, and with the economy being the way it is right now most families can't afford to splurge on oil.

Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Oil Cold Pressed is a better alternative.
We use olive oil for just about everything we make. I even use it to make homemade pizza. This is far more superior than the regular cooking oils. Try using extra virgin olive oil instead of canola or vegetable oil and see if you can taste the difference.

Flaxseed oil is a oil cold pressed that is used for after a food is prepared. You don't technically cook with it. Put a little of it in smoothies or as a dressing for your salad. This will help add flavor and boost the nutrients in your food.
Cold Pressed Avocado Oil

It can be used as more than just a cooking oil.
Grapeseed oil is a neutral flavored oil and is great for pan frying and baking. You can also use it for massages and for hair care. Just make sure use it on your hair before you take your shower.
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Cold Pressed.
This is my most favorite of cold pressed oil.
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil has a wonderful coconut flavor that just puts a smile on my face. I've always been a fan of coconuts and now that I found coconut oil I am extremely happy. This oil is great for making mayonnaise, cookies and for popcorn. I use coconut oil instead of our usual extra virgin olive oil.
