Okamiden

Play as Chibiterasu, a young sun god summoned to protect the land. Following in the footsteps of his mother Amaterasu, the sun-god-turned-wolf in Okami, Chibiterasu responds to a summoning by the Konohana Sprite Sakuya by taking the form of a wolf; in his case, an adorable wolf pup. Despite his mother's success against the Dark Lord Yami, which should have killed all the demons in Nippon, they've returned and color is again being leeched from the land.

Chibiterasu will join forces with a rich cast of characters to fight off a new threat. Some of the characters also appeared in Okami, and his closest ally is the child of the hero who helped his mother. Chibiterasu and buddies will come to realize their inner potential and accept the kinship that comes with being the children of great heroes and gods.

Gameplay is very similar to Okami, but adds the ability for Chibiterasu to team up with partners to access areas he couldn't alone. These partners possess unique abilities that will help Chibiterasu defeat enemies and conquer puzzles.

I've always thought Okami would have been ideally suited to the DS due to how the fighting worked on the Wii, where we would draw the celestial brush techniques using the wii remote, so I'm excited to see the sequel on the DS and using the stylus to create the celestial brush strokes.
