- I so agree!!!
Acting young, can keep you young!
Taking care of yourself can't hurt either.
I always wear a hat when outside, much to the kids dismay...
In the pool, I have sunglasses and my BIG hat on...and I swim like that!!!!
Whatever works ...right???

- Beauty is devine, and divine is eternal, we all seem to have that in us. Those of the good book are well into a ripe age, yet many seem not a day older from yesteryears. It's not that they are on a virtual video loop and are well preserved, it's the little things that keep all of us the same, the little things we seem to overlook, the divine truth and all it's beauty.

- I found this lens at the perfect time. I'm in the middle of a very positive lifestyle change. I had 3 back to back pregnancies, all with bed rest. I ended up lazy and huge! At 35 years old I found myself overweight and no energy to keep up with my 3 toddlers. I felt like I was in my 40's. I started exercising and eating healthy and now I feel better than I did at 29! For me, a strict exercise routine has been the key to my feeling younger. =)

- I surprise people by playing with my daughter as if I was a similar aged playmate (with obviously a bit more sense about what's going and so on). My wife observed that I am a big kid - I love my Lego, I love playing with things just to figure them out, so when playing with my kids, I still can put myself in the same mindset - not quite as carefree though - but I try. Captcha today: delightful.

- What a coincidence finding this lens today. Just returned from a weekend baby boomer reunion, our 32nd in fact. - Great, but by this criteria, my age changes by the day, maybe several times a day.
I love your take on this, and it's true that your mind doesn't change. Loudon Wainwright has a great song about aging: The S**t Song. That's what he thinks he looks like. Very funny.
Anyway, I am lensrolling to my Best New Year's Resolution ever. The resolutions was: change your mind.

- It's hard to age gracefully especially if on the inside you feel like you are somewhere south of 50. My hair is now totally gray and if I didn't have a mirrow I would never believe it. You are only as old as you feel. I'm happy to report that my grandchildren think of me as the grandma that can run! What a great lens, you rock!

- OOH! I love this. I am going to scroll down the page and- Anyway how true it is. I hear somewhere in California people ages eighty and up can run marathons or at least are fit enough that they don't have creeking bones. I do not think age matters when it comes to fitness when I am 'old' I'll be able to run as many miles as I want to or at least work up to fitness. I'll probably be fit by then though.
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were? Well for starters you would not be old at all. If you weren't registered by the government, if you birth was not resigersited in any government in the world and you could not get a birth certificate I doubt that you would ever have any evidence that you were any age at all.
If you had no proof of your age you would not be able to assume that you were old and dying, with an aching back. You couldn't blame your poor health on an unknown age if you did that would be decieving yourself because you wouldn't know your age.
What if you didn't have evidence of your age and you were as healthy and as fit as a 20 year old?

- How true is it, I was just talking about this the other day. I have an aunty that is 78. She is fantastic... my idol! She looks after 5 kids at her home once a week (kind of like day care) she goes on bike riding holidays all the time, she just came back from riding accross Europe for 2 months, she is fitter than I am!!! Then, my mother-in-law is 63. My husband refers to her as having one foot in the grave! She's too old for this, and to old for that. Love her just the same, she is fantastic! But it just shows it's how you feel inside that counts. Great lens.

My hair is going very gray, my eyes are looking tired, my body is rounding up in the middle, my voice is changing, my legs hurt when I stand on my feet for too long, 20 year old guys don't look at me anymore, (even though I look at them......), I can't stay up much after 11pm and my daughter tells me I look 80................................ - I just turned 55, and I was commenting to my mother that I still feel like I should be 35. (Except I have wrinkles and sags that most 35 year olds just don't have!) She's often said the same thing -- she's almost 80, but feels much younger, and spends time with younger people, since other people her age just sit around (she says). She definitely doesn't sit around!

Other than that its hard to keep cloths on this old lady. ~ I had a professor that spoke in class one day, that we tend to have a younger picture of ourselves as we get older, he said he saw himself at about age 25 and was shocked every time he looked in a mirror. ~ I understand what he was saying very well.
Great lens and well deserving a Purple Star Award. ~ Congratulations! x

- I've seen a show recently, where they placed 4 people over age 75 in a one house, and ask them to stay there for a week. Nothing unusual, right? This house was completely separated from the "real world", and everything inside as well as the TV channels were made in the 50's (the time when these men were teenagers) After one week, the scientist who organized that experiment also run some medical test. And guess what, they all felt better, also their eyesight and hearing improved! I was shocked. After only one week, so many improvements. It makes you wonder, other people and your environment, how all this can affect your body. I really enjoyed your lens, Susan. Positive thinking, it's my secret. Marta

- My 96-year-old neighbor Rose is a wonder. She always wears bright colors and has make-up on, even in the morning. She has a busy social life and walks down our hill to go grocery shopping, to her bridge club, and to Bingo at church. Puts me to shame! Oh, and the people who run the free senior shuttle don't believe she's in her 70s, let alone her 90s. They think she's trying to pull a fast one and get out of paying a quarter.

- This is delightful from start to finish--I had one smile after another as I read through and could picture the scenerios becuse we all have been there. Our grass may whither and our flower fade and that can be a shock from time to time as we catch ourselves in the mirror and our young minds wonder "when did that happen". But, in the right light, we can capture yesteryear. I don't Twitter, but you have me thinking what age I would be if I didn't know how old I am. I'd say, on my best day about 23 and on my worst right about 90! Tipi's an my Mom has always had young thinking patterns and a positive attitude which seem sto pay off--she's 82 and looks better than many 20 years younger and she still runs to the mail box, mows her lawn with a push mower exercises her brain with word find, solitaire Scrabble and reading. Mom reads through the Bible every year and talks with God all day long. Cute idea you have to exercise the brain by making a Squidoo lens.
