I just started the habit of baking my own bread. I was wondering whether you had any recipes without eggs? This one does look fantastic though! Will be giving it a go!
  • The_Micro_Farm_Project May 21, 2012 @ 6:27 pm | delete

I used to make bread with flour I ground the same day. I have not done that in years. Life gets away from you sometimes. I will have to get back into the breadmaking groove after reading this lens.

I think we forget how good bread can be when it is made with healthy, fresh ingredients and not just the horrible packaged stuff! Lovely lens.

I'm working on making better yeast bread. I'd like to get in the kitchen right now and pop some of that raising bread in to rise right now! Good lens!

I don't think there is a better aroma than the smell of fresh bread and one of my favorite things to eat is fresh bread, hot out of the oven, with lots of butter! I'll be visiting here often until I have tried every recipe. I really, really liked the lens.

I'm a sucker for a good bread lens...and this is a great one...complete with delicious photos.
I don't east as much bread as I used to...and as I'd love to...since I cut way back on foods that raise the blood sugar a few years ago. But when I do have it, I enjoy it all the more. And the "Log Cabin Cooking: Pioneer Recipes & Food Lore" piques the interest. One of the reasons I enjoy particular foods is their connection with foreign place...and with history, which is an interest of mine. Thumbs up on this lens!

I just love the smell of homemade fruit bread.........mmmmm, lovely memories of coming home and mum having made bread.
  • Pantherart Sep 14, 2010 @ 10:28 pm | delete
It has been a long time that I have smelled any home made bread, but I do remember that smell. A sweet smelling lens.
  • CCGAL Sep 12, 2010 @ 3:02 pm | delete
Oh, that raisin bread looks so yummy! I have a raisin cake recipe I love, but I haven't made any raisin bread for awhile. Once I tried making it in the bread machine, but I didn't realize I needed to wait to add the raisins and I ended up with purple bread because the beater totally pulverized the raisins. It tasted good, but boy, did it ever look weird!
  • boutiqueshops Sep 9, 2010 @ 9:50 pm | delete
oh YUM! Raisin bread smells wonderful while it's baking! Great job!

There is nothing better than the aroma of fresh bread baking in the kitchen and the memories this gave us from childhood. - Kathy

I can smell it already. I've always thought that someone should invent an air freshener that smelled like fresh out of the oven bread. I can't wait to try your recipes. 5 stars.

Bread is one thing I just can not make. This is tempting me to try again though.

Thank you! I took up baking my family's bread not too long ago, in an effort to stretch the food-dollars, y'know. I have perfected one recipe, after beginning with no experience.
But now I'm ready to try a new recipe, and these look great! Thank you!
