Six impossible Things for Breakfast
Are we the product of millions of accidents or have we been created by a loving God who made everything "very good"? The answer to this question determines our behaviour and eventually our destiny.

Water, water everywhere
but what about life?
In our "just add water" culture we often think that if there's water, there's life. Time and again this old evolutionist mantra finds its way into the news headlines, but is it true? In real life, things are more complicated.
If you believe in evolution, you also believe in
Six impossible things before breakfast
"Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." This is what the Queen said to Alice in Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll. It seems that a belief in evolution would also involve believing in at least six impossible things:
1. The big bang defies the laws of physics.
2. The naturalistic origin of life on earth is basically impossible: oxygen is lethal for the birth of life yet it is needed to protect life from radiation.
3. Dead things do not give rise to living things. Life only comes from life.
4. Information requires a sender. Inanimate things cannot initially produce intelligent information needed for life to arise.
5. The "tools" of evolution, i.e. natural selection and mutations cannot produce the astounding diversity of life we see around us today. In other words, an amoeba will never develop into an astronaut.
6. Even a single cell is more complex that the most sophisticated device ever produced by man.

- the creation/evolution dispute has far-reaching consequeces for both individuals and society. What we believe about our origins determines our worldview and morality. Belief in evolution would require believing in at least six impossible things before breakfast. There is another, better alternative.
