Take you life in your own hand I say, just get behind Ma and Pa kettle as they head off into the sunset. Speed limit just deduct 20 and your on it pops, looking for a park , grandad just cant get the car to manouver out as easily as it moved in. I'll just wait . Look out mums with babys, mum and dad crinkly wrinkly has just taken the last Mum with babys park. OH no they think its for handicaps only. I think I will change lanes OH now I will put on my indicator bit late that will let the younger folk out there know I am about to move over without looking. Well you under 50s Ma and me are off with the trailer If I had my glasses on I might be able to see you in the mirrors.

Older drivers (aged over 64) were involved in
relatively few crashes compared with younger drivers (aged under 65), and also had lower
crash rates than younger drivers after adjusting for differences between the specified age
groups in terms of population, and the number of licence holders. After adjusting for
differences in the amount of driving done by each of the age groups, it was found that crash
rates were reasonably constant for those aged between 25 and 74. Higher crash rates were
found only for those drivers under the age of 25 and over the age of 74. When crash rates
per licensed driver were analysed in terms of crash injury severity, it was found that older
drivers were over-represented in crashes resulting in fatal injuries.

Woman maimed , heres part of the story

A judge has called for checks on elderly drivers after an infirm 86-year-old man ploughed into three pedestrians, maiming one and contributing to the death of another.
Allan Skoyles was registered deaf, had undergone eight heart operations and had suffered a stroke which left him barely mobile, but was still allowed to drive.
He was pulling up in his Ford Focus outside a church in Gorleston, Norfolk, when he accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.
The car mounted the pavement and hit an elderly couple, Joyce and Arthur Willett, and Emma Woolnough, 24.
Miss Woolnough had a leg amputated, while Mr Willett, 78, died three months later.
His family believe the crash in February led to the deterioration in his health. His 77-year-old wife remains in hospital with serious hip injuries.

Most of them can't see right. They should be tested every year.
I got rear ended by old guy few days ago and the guy didn't even see me so he left. How many times do you hear that they steped on the gas instead of brake. They are a danger to others and themselves. Couple of years ago an old guy steped on gas and drove to a church during a cermon with kids. I Few kids were killed and others were injured. In my opinion old I think that old people should got to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) and get their eyes sight checked if their eyes sight is not up to standard for a driver I advice them to stay off the road.

If your only problem with their driving is the speed, then suck it up. If those people stop driving that forces their families to cart them aound, which basically sucks. Deal with going slow.

think that you should be able to drive no matter what your age as long as you take regular tests to ensure that your sight and braking and thinking distance are ok, some older drivers are the more careful ones, however you get the young racers who exceed the speed limit but there thinking distance is better so they dont cause as many crashes but this is still as dangerous. !!!!!

i think if they have past there test and have not had their license removed then they are fit enoguh to drive a car sensibley. yer they can be slow and annoying but they are old and there not causing any harm and they are probablly obeying spead limits so if you think they are going to slow maybe your going to FAST! x

I think it is wrong to take away someone D/L because they are old that is not a good reason.. Just think if they get their taken away than what will people do when they get to that age and they cant drive... Everyone get old and it may not bother u now but wait tell ur old and ur in the older people place tell me how u whould feel...
