The Golden Age of Radio "THANKSGIVING OTR"
The intention of this lens and others I propose is to bring awareness to the almost forgotten media of American theatrical radio. To bring something old and new, in this technological age, to those who pass by and take the opportunity to listen to a media that has seen better days in the United States. The Old Time Radio Flier intends to show the quality, quantity and variety of programes produced during the very short period known as "The Golden Age Of Radio". To give an understanding of the history of what is known today as "Old Time Radio."
...be sure to visit all my lenses to download the OLD TIME RADIO programs of your choice for your listening pleasure....
IF YOU FIND ANY OF THE LINKS ON ANY OF MY LENSES TO BE BROKEN, PLEASE CONTACT ME. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY I WILL KNOW AND BE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THANK YOU

- I sincerely appreciate your LOTD congratulations. I was so excited to get this honor. I've been at Squidoo for three years, and Mid-Autumn Festival is my first LOTD.
My mom has introduced me to old time radio and audio stories in general. It's a great way to use your time productively or at least enjoyably.

- What a fabulous lens! This really brings back some old memories! We were the 1st in our neighboorhood to get a black and white T.V. and that was the end of listing to the radio programs. Every kid in the neighborhood is at our house after dinner to watch the boob-tube. It was great when the Lone Ranger and Our Miss Brooks came to the silver screen, but I've always missed The Shadow. This would be such a fun activity after a Thanksgiving dinner for the family to gather and listen to one of these old radio programs. I lensrolled you to my Thanksgiving lens even though they are for food.

- I am so happy to have discovered your series of OTR lenses! I've lost both my parents in the last four years, and this reminds me of the stories they told me about their favorite childhood shows. My mom started using the computer when she was 75 and for the next six years she loved exploring the internet. She would have been thrilled to come across a lens like this. Thank you!

I wonder if today's world ever stop to think that that is all some people ever had and without those pioneers it might be feasible that whatever they have today might not have happened. I also like the thanksgiving cards. Great lens. Best of luck.

- Theatrical radio was a bit before my time, so I have nothing but your lens to go by. It seems almost sad to me that people like yourself have had to watch, or listen to rather, the deterioration of radio media and the perversion of what constitutes entertainment. I have spoken to many people over the years though, who remember their near impatient infatuation as they couldn't wait to sit down in front of the radio to listen to their favorites, like Little Orphan Annie and The Lone Ranger. It must have been a wonderful time.
