Baking Pies With Granny B

Long before sun-up, a lone figure rises and starts the day by stokin the fire in the wood-stove. Sometimes that means gathering up kindlin or chopping wood. But If a pie is to be made today, then her bakin must start before the sun washes over the window. There are apples to peel, cut-up and boil, dough to be made and all of this is done by her old and weathered hands. No electricity, no food processors or electric stoves like we have today. Granny B has to rely on her memory for a recipe or make it up as she goes. She really has her work cut out for her! Think of that next time you feel like you don't want to cook!
Go on in there and see what Granny B has cooked up for ya to smell today! I promise ya it'll be good!
