Love the Olympics! I've been an avid Olympic fan forever and always watch them. I'm from Canada and we sent a tiny contingent of about 26 athletes this time, but we are doing great (about 13 at last count). I wonder which team has the highest percentage of medals/athletes overall?

Your statement that the ancient Greek athletes did not get medals reminded me of my trip to Greece, where we saw the tracks where they ran (we ran them). Two things. 1. They also had a Wall of Shame where cheating athletes would have a likeness displayed 2. I don't remember if we got confirmed that they also ran naked. I remembered that when someone made a remark about the skimpy pants of the female marathon runners!

Wonderful, timely lens. Don't forget to set your alarms for 8/21 6am eastern to watch the Rhythmic Gymnastics! http://www.squidoo.com/rhythmicgymnastics
