Personally I was planning to go to China. But the recent earth quake made me rethink. Moreover Beijing is getting really expensive as the games starting date is getting closer. The hotel prices have gone up crazy. I could feel this last year itself when I had a short visit to Beijing. The jewelry and silk shops near the Olympics city was selling their items at 9 times higher than the regular price. The owner who was a Malaysian offered me the regular price and told me that the price listed are "Olympics price". That was almost a year back. I can imagine how crazy it would be now.
