The Samsung Omnia - it has a few nicknames prior to the iPhone. They call it the iPhone Killer, Alternative or Clone. Personally I would think that the Omnia has its own unique design and personality. One thing for sure, Samsung mobile developers really include lots of wishlist into this gadget.
I believe the Omnia was built with more exciting functions and features compared to other Microsoft Mobile touch screen cell phones. Here's my guess, due to stiff market competition, every cellphone maker want to have better design and features than its competitors. Samsung did well with this phone.

Let me first explain that I am not doing a review and comparison between the Samsung Omnia and iPhone. The two phones had it's own uniqueness. If you like and favor Microsoft Mobile platform mobile phones, this could be your new PDA or replacement phone.
I like the iPhone but since I am using the Samsung Omnia and the phone is packed with features and applications I guess it will be fun to lens it.
Mobile Phone Digital Camera
The built in 5 mega pixels digital camera is impressive. It almost has the same function similar to a basic digital camera. The touch screen menus allow me to switch to my desire shooting mode easily. Some of the functions include face detection, various scene mode, digital zoom and ISO configuration from auto to ISO 800.
Vibe Tone and Keypad
The Samsung keypad and Vibe tone application allows me to type easily. The Vibe tone just gives you a feeling as if you are pressing on normal phone keypads.
Large Storage
The Omnia comes with a built in 16 Gig storage and additional memory slot for micro SD card. The phone can support up to 8 Gig microSD card, however I am using the 1G storage card.
Keyboard Function
The Samsung keyboard portrait viewing is difficult to type due to the narrow space between character. However if the keyboard is switch to landscape view, typing with two thumbs is easy.
GPS Navigation
The built in GPS navigation system is of great advantage for user who prefer not to own additional GPS equipment.
Wi-Fi Settings
When accessing the internet the Wi-Fi settings will automatically search and connect the strongest hotspot. If the Wi-Fi disconnects or lost its connections, it will connect internet with GPRS mode.
One Touch Settings
With one touch on the settings button (Set from Settings > Today > Items Samsung Today 2), you can easily operate the phone to Flight Mode, Vibrate, Motion, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Phone, Mouse, Flashlight and USB function.
Text Messaging and Emails
Emails and text messaging is easy to setup and operate. Typing is easy and fast with the Omnia built in keypad and predictive text function.
Built in Applications to be Explore
Besides Opera browser, Photo Slides, Touch Player and Video Player there are other Microsoft Mobile applications installed in this phone to be explored. The Samung Omnia is indeed an "Everything you wish for in your mobile phone"
