Unlike most reviewers of OmniTrader I actually use the product everyday in my trading :)

OmniTrader from Nirvana Systems in Austin, TX has progressed from a basic stock scanner/charting package that looked for trading candidates using optimized systems to a full fledged trading system development platform.

With OmniTrader 2008 you can continue to use OmniTrader to find great trade candidates but you can also use it for mechanical system trading.

From their extensive optional system plug-ins to a very robust trading system builder OmniTrader 2008 is a very complete package that should satisfy the most demanding trader.

It is clear from their Nirvana Club research that Nirvana is very serious in creating an automatic trading machine and with the release of two mechanical trading systems in the past year they are well on their way to achieving this goal.

OmniTrader 2008 can be used by both new and experienced traders for both discretionary and system trading but like any tool you need to understand how to use it properly in order to use it successfully but with the excellent training Nirvana provides this should not be a problem.

If I had to recommend just one trading software package it has to be OmniTrader 2008 as it combines charting, system building and testing into one complete package.
