Researchers from Duke University has launched a new study which appeared in the Journal of Neuroscience, in which they observed a group of 29 adults. They devided this group into two parts, the first group had enjoyed a full night of sleep while the other group had not. Everyone of both groups has been subject to an MRI scan which discovered a rise in the areas of the brain that stimulates the positive feeling although one has a lack of sleep. According to Vinod Venkatraman, the author who lead the study, "gamblers who have lack of sleep have a positive feeling to seek their win chances but they tend to be taking more risks at their game."
