Threadless started in 2000 and is a online design community that sells t-shirts and art prints chosen from submited designs, by artists around the globe. Along with a open, ongoing competition, they run themed contests called "Threadless Loves". You can also submit slogans, to be used for a specific line of t-shirts: TypeTees. There´s another product line, "The Select Series", which is a line of tee shirts featuring the work of the world's most talented artists, curated by Threadless. Besides the online shop, there's two Threadless stores, both located in Chicago.

Zazzle is a print on demand retail platform for both consumers and major brands. There you can create and costumize a wide range of products, from clothing, to Keds shoes, or even skateboards, or choose from the billions of products offered on their marketplace. You can also, free of charge, set up your online store to sell your own designs.

Launched in July 2007, Design by Hümans, is a place where you can buy t-shirts, with all of the designs available, being submited by their community. They run an open, ongoing contest, from where they choose every weekday, a new design to be printed and sold. Every Saturday one of the tees from the prior week is chosen as Shirt of the Week, and the first Sunday of every month, one the previous month, shirts of the week, is awarded Shirt of the Month. Ocasionally DBH partners with other companies, running special contests, usually with a specific theme and that run along with the ongoing contest.

Allmightys was founded in January 2007 and is a community led website with t-shirts designed by artists around the globe. They used to run themed competitions, but in June 2009, they changed their submission structure to a open, ongoing competition from which a design is chosen to be printed once a month. The authors of the designs are payed based on commissions from t-shirts sold. Allmightys T-Shirts are printed in Berlin and are high quality, 100% cotton sweatshop-free American Apparel shirts.
