So Valentine's Day is around the corner is and you know you have to send some flowers and its usually one dozen roses or some other variant of flower but the number in the bouquet is usually constant - one dozen or twelve depending on what you prefer to call it. Some people may find the idea and the practice confusing. Why send a dozen roses? What is so special about that number and why won't a number like ten or five suffice for whatever idea or message you want to convey? It's a normal habit for people to do things they don't understand but when it comes to the idea of sending a dozen roses, the idea is usually as a result of something simple which some people aren't aware about.

It's a well understood concept that flowers are about romance or affection. They have been for a very long time, the art of sending flowers is something that we have been doing so long that most people have forgotten how it started in the first place. Despite the tradition, some people choose to do things differently, some deliver their flowers in terms of the number of months or years which the relationship has lasted. The number of birthdays the person has celebrated or some other such numerical quantity which is of importance to them and the person they are giving the flowers to.
