Anti-racism design on t-shirts, mugs, totes and gifts that promotes human rights

Ideas on promoting anti-racism and human rights.

Don't be afraid to ask others outside you to help and don't avoid recruiting people whom you don't normally think of as antiracist types. You need to express your opinion in a public way and this will influence others in expressing like you.

Take initiative at the individual level. Most of the time, someone just needs to step up to the plate and swing the bat to get things moving. Sometimes people just need to see someone else doing something to promote antiracism to realize how much pluralism needs to be addressed in a community.

With the current state of the world in chaos because of people's confusion of different races and cultures, my husband and I have been thinking about some way to help people understand that we are all human.  We came up with a design that we think shows respect for every person's opinions and differences.  The reception we have had has been amazing.

Please also visit our other lens entitled "Racism and Children" at http://www.squidoo.com/learnrespectearly that talks about teaching racial tolerance to children for other children through a series of resources such as games, lessons, books and organizations.

Promoting anti-racism, human rights and peace in the world.

So many websites, articles, discussions and blogs only talk about racism and we decided we wanted to actually do something about it so we came up with a design that we are now selling in our online store that we hope will promote peace. There are politicians and musicians in our area wearing these t-shirts to show the world a clear message. We all need to start somewhere and this is our swing with the bat.

I have been recently honored for the design by the Nancy E. Peace Action Against Prejudice Award given by the YMCA for work done in helping to eliminate racism, fight prejudice and celebrate diversity.

As the saying goes, show some respect and purchase one of these stunning shirts or gifts. College students, make a positive statement by wearing a shirt on campus. Drink from the beautiful coffee mug. Moms to be, show that you respect differences for you and your baby. Carry your groceries in the eco-friendly tote bag. Walk your dog in the cute t-shirt and they will be the envy of all the dog owners. The possibilities are endless!!
