Ranked #14,426 in Hobbies, Games & Toys, #216,461 overall

Welcome to OSS - One Sixth Sense - Fashion Doll Art & Sculpted Miniatures

Do you enjoy playing with dolls?  I do!  I rediscovered fashion dolls about 10 years ago while researching my childhood Barbies.  I've been hooked on the diminutive diva ever since!

Here, you will find information, tips, photos, tutorials and much more concerning 1/6 Scale Fashion Dolls such as Barbie and Fashion Royalty as well as their larger cousins in 1/4 Scale...fashion dolls such at Robert Tonner's Tyler and Madame Alexander's Alex.  OSS also creates One Of A Kind polymer clay sculptures in 1/6 scale, and many sculptures are paired with dolls for unique Doll Art presentations.

Please explore at your leisure and check back often.  This lens will ALWAYS be under construction.  An artists is rarely 100% satisfied with his/her creations!  My motto is: "If it involves my art, it involves my heart!"

Who or What is OSS?

And why should I care?

OSS is One Sixth Sense. OSS is a way of life for artist, D.K. Anderson and her family and many of her friends. Would you like to step out of "The Real World" (TRW as it is known to the artist and her friends) and enter into the realm of Diminutive Divas? If you do, you've come to the right place!

And don't forget to visit our sister site at:

The EverRealm

EverRealm is a fantasy world steeped in ancient mysticism, swordplay, and leaps through time! OSS artist, D.K. Anderson populates EverRealm with fabulous characters brought to life in 1/6 scale doll form. You won't want to miss it!

When I first began designing and creating One Of A Kind (ooak) dolls, information was scarce. I spent hours and hours and hours online, searching the web for "how to" pages or photographs. These were few and far between. I made a vow to myself that when I had time, I would create my own tutorials to help others find information. I hope I'm fulfilling that promise.
Changing a Doll's Toothy Smile to a Closed Smile - Method #1
Learn how to "cut and paste" a doll's toothy smile into a closed mouth grin.
Changing a Doll's Toothy Smile to a Closed Smile - Method #2
This tutorial shows you how to "fill in" that toothy grin if doll oral surgery isn't your cup of tea.
Creating Molded Hair for the Male Doll
Use Molding Paste to give your dolls a variety of looks! This tutorial deals specifically with male dolls and action figures, but the technique can easily be adapted to female dolls. Let your imagination run wild!
Applying Mohair to your Doll's Head
Learn how to permanently apply natural mohair to your vinyl doll or action figure for a whole new look!
Dying Tulle Netting with RIT
You don't need to be a genius to do this, but there are step by step instructions and photographs to help you dye tulle for your doll fashions if you don't have access to "just the right color".
