My Journey Into The Squidoo Ocean...
Firstly a big hi and welcome to my lensography where I hope to share an insight into my world and my journey into the squidoo ocean and my desire to become a giant squid.
When I first wrote this page (around October '08) I had only accumulated 14 published lenses and I felt this page was maybe a little premature, it felt a little like a pop star writing their biography at 21 !
I set out to work on this number and have a target of reaching giant squid status. My main aims are to build quality lenses which hopefully in turn will help a couple of charities and make my own time on squidoo that little bit more worthwhile and here I wish to share my journey to hopefully becoming a giant squid......

Why The Avatar ?
Well my name is Steve and basically I understand that people on places, like here at squidoo, would probably much rather see a picture of the lensmaster which produces a little more personality, however I still have reservations about the internet and feel that Mickey is a lot better an option than looking at my mush !Also I love Disney and believe it is the place of a thousand dreams, and this is why I picked the Mickey avatar, but for those who really wish to seeing me in a picture, below is one of only four which I have put on the internet, the other three are in my facebook account which I very rarely use. I am the guy on the left as you are looking or the one in the black shirt.

So Where From There ?
So where did we go from here....well our first hope was that squidoo will last a very long time and evolves with the internet to enable us to build up a good portfolio of lenses and hey who knows what that might lead to.As you may have guessed from the above lenses we were hitting on a theme or topic surrounding nursery rhymes, and between Oct '08 and July '09 we managed to get our lens count up to a reasonable count which included finishing that topic of lenses.
Our goals along the way....as mentioned above our main aim is to build quality lenses whilst also trying to reach for giant squid status over time and who know perhaps a lens of the day whilst climbing the ladder ????

Are We Giant Worthy ?
So, that has us upto July '09 and if you've got this far we thank you for bearing with us.It was in this month that after a lot of thought we decided to join a squidoo, going for giant challenge group. There was indeed a lot of thought to the fact that working full time and with a family, would we simply have the time to commit to a group without being just a bystander and not being able to participate.
