- I have watched Donna Dewberry for months, videos on the internet, etc. I cannot get the hang of double loading the flat brush. I have tried everything and the paint always gets muddy looking. I love how the colors looks when she does it. Is there anywhere or anyone who can explain exactly how to do it? Does it have something to do with using floating medium or any other little trick?

- What outdoor water-based exterior varnish do you advise to use with painted birdhouses, signs, etc. (items that will have direct contact with the elements) In the past I used Folk Art exterior varnish, but found that it peeled in one season! Come to find on the website that it says not to use it for items in direct contact with the elements, however it doesn't say this on the bottle!

- Once the enamel paint has cured, then you should be able to use it as a hot plate. The curing process involves either baking the item or waiting about 3 weeks. More information about painting on glassware and ceramics can be found in this article, One Stroke Painting on Glassware and Ceramics

- Hello! I LOVE your site! I, too, love to paint using the Onestroke technique and plan to attend a workshop as soon as I can. I have a question about painting on glass and ceramics... how do you get your strokes to appear opaque? When I paint, the strokes are so translucent I have to restroke, so ultimately I'm doing double the work. I just looked through your crafts and thought they were beautiful, so you may have some insight. Either way, I will be checking back on your website to see what new creations you come out with! Thank you and take care!

- After painting on tile with Folk Art Enamels, can the tile be used as a hot plate or trivet? Will enamels stay on plastic stemware, cups, etc.?
