One World For Peace Survey Projects
Can War Really Be The Answer For One World For Peace?
From The Desk of Cris Delgado
Sedona, AZ
2008
Dear International Community of Internet Friends,
When I awake each morning I hold a very strong urge in my heart to bringing about one world for peace. I also want to continue to express a deep gratitude for all those who have perished in the Middle East and elsewhere around the world over the past 6 years in the name of justice, freedom, retaliation, and self-righteousness. I wanted to find a profound way to honor their lives, to honor their sacrifices, to honor them in death. I have named this endeavor The One World For Peace Survey and (subsequently) Projects
While there are countless I never knew, they still have contributed greatly to my growth, to my desire to have one world for peace survey projects, to my passionate desire to increase mutual respect, harmony, and balance in this world. Whatever I could inspire would become my gift to honor them--all of them for their profound contribution to that one world for peace survey projects!
So, I thought, "How could I possibly give anything significant enough to these precious souls? They have given the ultimate in a time when life seems to be valued so little on this planet. How could I create something that would stand for all time as a living, organic, transformational monument that would honor all of them? What could I contribute that might bring about one world for peace survey projects?"
What I have envisioned is a virtual monument of photos, maybe a collage or montage of people, groups, symbols, essays, poems, articles organized in a unique way. You can also email me at:

Please return often and explore this lens in different segments. It is meant to move you, to inspire you. It is meant to bring you to a place of peace within. I will add to it often.

A Silent Legacy For One World For Peace
An ever increasing call indelibly etched
It has occurred to me what the sacrifice of these precious spirits really is. It is the opportunity for all of us to reflect on what is truly valuable and precious in these times. They have left a seed- a silent legacy if you will, and an ever increasing call indelibly etched into the rhythmn of our hearts and the frequency of our minds that nothing is as important as one world for peace survey projects.
Their call demands the will for acceptance of nothing less than:
the love of each member of our global community as though each one were our own beloved family member,
the mutual respect for even the most unfathomable differences, and
the fruition of the unobstructed, undying objective to preserve and promote peace, prosperity, and the well-being for every member of humanity.
In their sacrifice lies the key to uniting all of humanity with one purpose--
with one cherished and one infinitely priceless cause--
to find that place in our hearts and minds where we can say to someone- anyone- who seems so unfamiliar to our own individual values and norms, "I love you, I trust you, I accept you just as you are, and I give to you all that I would give to myself or anyone I know and love dearly".

One World For Peace Survey Projects is dedicated to ongoing efforts to support and encourage peace throughout the world. Please feel free to send items you would like to contribute to this Project. Send an email to oneworldforpeace@gmail.
***Be sure to enter your personal vision of one world for peace in the Guestbook (at the bottom of the lens) and join my fan club so you can be notified as the project is added to or improved.

Thank you to Ed Munter of Season Of Change. Org
Truth is hidden in plain sight
right before our eyes.
Love is crying out for Love
but it's wearing a disguise.
The world is wounded and hurting.
The signs are beginning to show.
You can turn away but you can't pretend
you don't care or you don't know.
There's a quickening these days.
Things are changing every minute.
The Season of Change is coming...
in fact, we're already in it.
And it means different things to everyone of us,
it's kinda like the choice you make
to be the change you want to see
and create it with the steps you take.
To some, it's compassionate social action
that effects generations to come.
To others, it's a simple act of kindness
that alters the life of someone.
To some, it's accepting our place in the Universe
and our global responsibility.
To others, it's how everything fits together
in a beautiful tapestry.
It's a dream of a peaceful planet
where there's enough for everyone.
and when we dream that dream together,
that's when the change will come.
The past has been cancelled.
The future needs revison.
Our destiny is waiting
for the results of our decision.
The moment you've been waiting for
is now and it will not wait.
All of this is meaningless,
except for the meaning you create.
Join the Evolution.
This is the moment you begin.
The Season of Change is coming...
where do you fit in?

2020 Consciousness
We have the capacity to live in peace but it is the consciousness that is necessary to sustain it.
The Challenge For All The Living
One world for peace begins in how we perceive the world
The challenge these precious souls have left for us is to find our way back to that place within each of us that knows that one world for peace must begin in how we perceive the world around us and how we commit ourselves to making one world for peace through these one world for peace survey projects. If we look for the world to be a friendly place, we will find that. If we look for peace, harmony, respect, and love in the world, then we will find it and cultivate its presence on the planet.
We each have our part in making the world what it is and what it becomes--that is the nature of the Universe in which we live.
As the famous poet, John Dunne once said, "No man (i.e., no one) is an island". In every living being on this planet there is capacity to unite in joy and in sorrow to create the most magnificent and the most miraculous.
So, here I extend to each of you who reads this, a special invitation to join me in creating a unique and virtual monument. You can contribute
your vision and thus your legacy to this tribute and monument that will be forever imprinted onto the pages of the world wide web well into infinity.
Through your participation we may even reach across time and space from our virtual monument and connect with those whom we honor here. Each contribution, each vision, every word will be used to build a magnificent tribute to all who have yielded their lives to the ever increasing consciousness of one world for peace.

Tribute To Sadako
A One World For Peace Survey Tribute To an Amazing Chils
Sadako Sasaki was only two years old when Hiroshima, Japan was bombed by one of the most devastating atomic bombs of the 20th century. It was delivered on August 6, 1945.Sadako was a healthy, vibrant, athletic girl. One day she suddenly and unexpectedly fell ill after a run for an upcoming race.
Sadako Sasaki was promptly diagnosed in 1955 with leukemia, "the atom bomb disease".
After Sadako learned of an old Japanese legend from her best friend she began to create paper cranes. According to the legend if one folds 1,000 paper cranes they will receive a special gift. Sadako's wish of course, was to recover form the leukemia.
Sadako continued to make origami peace cranes from that moment she heard about the legend. She created 600 cranes and was continuing to make more up to her death but did not survive the leukemia. She died on October 25, 1955. She was 12 years old.
Her friends and classmates were inspired by her actions for peace. They completed 400 more cranes on her behalf. They then raised funds from all over Japan and commissioned a statue that was erected in 1958. It stands in the Hiroshima Peace Park as a tribute to Sadako and to all of the children who died from the effects of that atomic bomb.
This segment shows a photo of the statue above. The statue has an inscription that reads,"This is our cry, "This our cry. This is our prayer, Peace in the world". To date people from all over the world continue to send paper cranes to Sadako's statue.
There is also a bronze statue erected to honor Sadako in the Seattle Peace Park in Seattle, Washington. This monument was commissioned by Dr. Frank Schmoe who won the Hiroshima Peace Prize in 1998.
At 93, Dr. Schmoe purchased a junkyard and with help from volunteers created a beautiful park. To date, thousands of children have come to the park with cranes that they have also created. Often, Sadako's statue is draped with paper cranes - a representation of other children's solidarity with her for world peace.

Fun, accessible origami models from a master origamiist!, November 4, 1999
By Candice Bradley (Appleton, WI USA) - See all my reviews
Robert Lang is one of the most prolific and innovative origami model creators around. Many of Lang's books, however, are composed mainly of more difficult models appropriate for intermediate and advanced folders. But *Origami in Action* offers lots of fun model building for folks at every skill level. The diagrams and instructions are wonderfully clear and presented on big pages surrounded by lots of calming white space.
I've been teaching origami to 20 third graders (an interesting volunteer experience!). *Origami in Action* is one of my top suggestions when a parent asks me to recommend an origami book for an eight or nine year old.
But this book is also great fun for grownups -- even origami-addicted grownups and other advanced folders. The otter lying on its back is absolutely wonderful!
Thanks Mr. Lang! ~~$14.21

This is an amazing way to educate yourself about the Middle East Conflict
When I first discovered the Peacemaker Game History Trailer I couldn't believe my eyes! I wondered how anyone could make a game to trivialize such a significant crisis of war and cry for peace in this world! But then I took the time to watch the trailer that explains the game and what it is intended to do. It is quite an ingenius program that allows you to take
either the perspective of the Israeli Prime Minister or of the Palestinian leader. You are then taken through a conflict and must resolve the crisis peacefully.
The video quality of this game is fantastic and includes realistic scenes. It's just like being in the middle of the real crisis.

World Peace
The Ideal of the ages
World peace is an ideal of freedom, peace, and happiness among and within all nations and/or peoples. World peace is a Utopian idea of planetary non-violence by which nations willingly cooperate, either voluntarily or by virtue of a system of governance which prevents warfare. Although the term is sometimes used to refer to a cessation of all hostility among all individuals, world peace more commonly refers to a permanent end to global and regional wars with future conflicts resolved through nonviolent means.

Famous Quotes For One World For Peace Survey Projects
Peace Quotes To Ponder

"The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes from within the souls of men when they realize their relationship, their oneness, with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Sacred, and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us. This is the real peace, and the others are but reflections of this. The second peace is that which is made between two individuals, and the third is that which is made between two nations. But above all you should understand that there can never be peace between nations until there is first known that true peace which is within the souls of men."
* Black Elk in The Sacred Pipe: Black Elk's Account of the Seven Rites of the Oglala Sioux (1953).

"The situation of the world is still like this. People completely identify with one side, one ideology. To understand the suffering and the fear of a citizen of the Soviet Union, we have to become one with him or her. To do so is dangerous - we will be suspected by both sides. But if we don't do it, if we align ourselves with one side or the other, we will lose our chance to work for peace. Reconciliation is to understand both sides, to go to one side and describe the suffering being endured by the other side, and then to go to the other side and describe the suffering being endured by the first side. Doing only that will be a great help for peace."
