    i live in the city now and don't have a garden, but when i lived in the countryside i had a huge veggie patch...one year i grew white onions from seeds rather from bulbs...it was SO satisfying!

    I grow overwintering onion - they're yummy and they don't take up space after midsummer!

    You know, I think we grew some onions up in Cleveland, Ohio way back when -- I wouldn't mind trying to grow some now since I so love onions -- particularly VIDALIA.
