The Bridge Across Forever

The Bridge Across Forever, by Richard Bach, was a book of firsts for me. It was the first book I read that dealt with law of attraction, although it never called it that. It was the first book I read that made me believe in soul mates, and magic.

This book is a magical journey of a man and a woman. It is a love story, but it is a factual love story, because sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. It is a story that draws in you and makes you believe in love, in magic. The twists and turns life can take are sometimes unimmaginable. The way these two get through the trials and tribulations and some major catastrophes is a testament to a working loving relationship.

I think it is amazing how books can affect us viserally. On the cover of the book read these words: If you've ever felt alone in a world of strangers, missing someone you've never met, you'll find a message from your love in . . .The Bridge Across Forever.

I hadn't picked up this book in a while, and as soon as I read those words I was taken back to the summer after my sophomore year in college and the first time I read this book. I was taken back to all the feelings, and emotions, the turbulance of the late teens, and some pretty tough times I was going through. In fact I could remember everything about the day the person (and I still remember his name) gave me this book and told me I "just had to read it". I remember staying up all night because I just couldn't put it down. I remember crying at times and laughing at others. I remember feeling like a changed person when I was finished.

There have not been many books in my life that have left me feeling changed, for the better, when I was finished. This was the first, and I will always cherish this book. I usually keep a couple copies on hand, just to give away. It's been years and years since my first experience with The Bridge Across Forever, but I still love the way it made me feel, and continues to make me feel when I think about the book, and that summer.

If you've lost hope in life or love, this is a must read. If you haven't lost hope read it anyway, it will just take your energy sky high!

Eat Pray Love

One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia

Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia, by Elizabeth Gilbert is a touching, in fact, moving story of one woman's search for herself.

She has lived through many of the things we all go through, divorce, bad relationships, and had fallen into a depression. She finally chose to leave it all behind and go on a quest to find herself, and meaning in her life.

She travels to Italy, India and Indonesia. In each of these countries she delves into a part of herself. She allows herself to grow and expand in each of these areas.

This book is poignant and touching. It is easily relatable and draws you in. By the end of the book I was ready to travel to India for a month and spend some time exploring my own spirituality.Click Here for Audiobook

Although at this time I can't just take off to India, it did inspire me to explore and dive into parts of my life often neglected in the rush of day to day life.

This book left me feeling GOOD. I don't find many books or anything that just leave me feeling, good and inspired, and in fact hopeful. This book did all three.

I can't recommend this book highly enough. If you have a book club it will be a great book to read. It will get people thinking and there will be plenty of substance to drive conversation.

Louder than Words ~ A Mother's Journey in Curing Autism, Jenny McCarthy

Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey in Healing Autism

Amazon Price: $16.29 (as of 10/06/2008)

I bought this book because I had seen Jenny on Oprah talking about her son. Autism interests me and I wanted to know more about how she cured her son's autism.

I was not expecting a lot from this book, and boy was I surprised.

This book is honest, heartbreaking, and informative.

I do not have a child with autism, and yet I found myself crying through just about every page.

If you have a child with an autism spectrum disorder, I highly recommend this book.

If you are still undecided about whether to vaccinate your child, I highly recommend this book.

If you want an inspiring read, filled with emotion ~ a mother telling her honest to God story ~ I highly recommend this book.

Even if you are not a Jenny McCarthy fan you will enjoy the book.

Ebook Reviews

Here you will find reviews for ebooks. Some are free. Some you have to buy. My reviews really are my opinions of the book as I see it. I have read each and every one of these books. If you'd like to talk to me about a book, please leave a comment or send me a message. :)

How much do you spend?

I know I have spent way too much money on ebooks. Sometimes is dawns on me that I would never spend the kind of money on "real" books as I do for digital downloads. When's the last time you saw a book at Barnes and Noble for 97 dollars? :)

Stacked Income Review

When I picked up a copy of Stacked Income I had no idea what to expect. I have to tell you I was blown away.

This book explains the concept of stacked income. Making more money with no additional work. This comes from using "add on" products.
He takes you through a very clear example of how this works in the "real" world. He then takes you through an online business model that makes this work as well.

Stacked IncomeIt was a very interesting concept, and I can see exactly how it would work, and keep money coming in without any additional work.

It is the lowest price ebooks I have ever bought. That had me thinking a couple of things at the same time. 1. What's a 5 dollar ebook really gonna be worth. 2. Hell, it's only five bucks, why not. This book was worth every dime and then some.

I have reworked my entire mindset around working online and making money. This has completely revolutionized my online business.

If you have ever tried to make money online and have not been successful, or as successful as you'd hoped, before you give up on making money online, read this book.
