Penn Foster- Dressmaking and Design

This is a correspondence course for those interested in the basics of fashion.

Etelestia

This is an online fashion design course. It covers most everything you need from drawing to pattern making to sewing and many extras. But it uses a special system for drafting patterns so be aware of that when considering this program.

Fashion Design online

This is an online course which teaches you to use the Wild Ginger software PatternMaster Boutique a CAD program for pattern drafting.

Academy of Art University

This is the only school I have found to offer a certificate, or a 2 or 4 degree online in fashion design. You can get a Masters of Fashion Design. The only downside is that it is cheap.

Cre Fashion Design School

This was one school I was considering but then the price doubled and quickly went the idea.

ASDP- The Master Sewing and Design Professional Master Certification Program

This program consists of seven modules, each with its own specific requirements and methods of evaluation. Upon successful completion of all seven modules, a certificate will be awarded. Those who successfully complete the program will be allowed to use that designation in his/her business. Members of ASDP who successfully complete the program will be listed on the National Referral List on the ASDP website, with the designation of Master Sewing and Design Professional (MSDP).

Learn more about sewing and dressmaking at home with Stratford. This is very similar to the Penn Foster program

Academy of Fashion Design Extension

Academy of Fashion Design offers two different kinds of Certificate Programs. The Certificate of Fashion Design is for the student who does not sew already, or wishes to brush up their basic skills. The Certificate of Patternmaking is for student who already sews, but would like to broaden their skills.

The Blackford Institute of Fashion Design

UK based correspondence course, This course allows you to take as long as you need to complete without any extra fees

Stonebridge- Dress Making and Fashion Design Course
