Although Learn & Master Guitar is not the cheapest guitar course we looked at, it is by far one of the most comprehensive methods of learning guitar that we have come across.

This guitar training package comprises of video lessons on DVD so you can watch them on your TV, jam-along music CDs that you can play along with as you learn to play guitar and printed learning materials covering concepts, methods, playing styles and also includes sheet music you can use.

The learning materials are high quality and professionally produced (no shaky home movies or booklets printed on a laser printer!) and it is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the process of learning how to play guitar from start to finish.

Steve Krenz, your "virtual" guitar teacher, has over 20 years experience as a professional guitar player and is accomplished at multiple playing styles. He covers all levels of guitar playing from the basic beginner guitar lessons onto intermediate and then more advanced playing techniques.

    After initially signing up for a month to see what Jamplay was like, I decided to take out a full year's subscription. Seeing the teacher in front of you, even on a screen, is much easier for kids and adults alike to get a grip of. Chloe has come on leaps and bounds once we started on the Jamplay lessons

    Jamorama was the first online guitar course I bought (because it was one of the least expensive) to help me teach my little girl. As an adult, it is a great learning tool, but was not as useful as I'd hoped for teaching someone as young as my daughter (she was 8 then). It should be fine for kids over 12 though
