Which Online Income Opportunity Is Best For You?

More and more people are venturing into the world of working from home and with the wide variety of online opportunities available to you it's often hard to know where to start.

As someone who has tried a variety of different methods before stumbling across what works best for me I thought I'd take this opportunity to share my thoughts on some of the different programs. Whether they are paid to action type programs (paid to read etc) or affiliate marketing etc each opportunity often has its pros and cons.

Before I go any further I'd like to remind everyone (newbies and those that have been doing it for awhile) that before you join any type of online program make sure you read and understand all that is involved. Unfortunately there are not only a lot of scams out there, but in many cases what may work for some may not be right for you.

Earn While You Learn 

There are many programs out there that will guide you step by step on how to build your own home based business. Some of these are free some are paid or membership sites.

One of the best sites I've come across that is totally free is the Thirty Day Challenge. Once a year this challenge teaches you step by step how to earn your first dollar(s) online. There are extensive video instructions that guide you all the way, from using the right tools to finding the right keywords etc. Teaching you how to decide what you want to market and how to go about marketing it. Everything you could possibly hope for can be found here and best of all it's totally FREE.

At the moment it's in Pre-season and already there's plenty of stuff to get you started, with the actual challenge beginning in August.

One other program I'd like to mention up front is the Ebay Affiliate Website Builder. While this is a new program the guy behind it all, Justin, has been involved in internet marketing and earning online for a long time. I've worked with Justin before and can honestly say he's a pretty down to earth guy and truly wants to help others succeed. While other programs will offer you everything under the sun and include a tonne of bells and whistles, along with all the flash and ceremony that looks good but doesn't actually do anything, this program along with the people behind it will just give you the bare facts. The program teaches you what you need to know via instructional videos, so it's simply a matter of watching the video, pausing it, doing that step and then hitting play again.

Paid To Action Programs 

The paid to action programs are what many people try when they first start earning an income online; whether it's paid to read emails, paid to click on ads or a variety of other type of programs. I don't have a lot to do with this type of thing anymore as, in all honesty, I find them boring but for others, they can be a good way to supplement your income or drive free traffic to your chosen affilate programs.

One program of this type that I do tend to check in on often is myLot with this program not only can you earn a little pocket money each month just for responding to other's discussions - or starting your own - but you get the chance to interact with other like-minded people.
I visit this site on a regular basis as a way to let others know what I'm doing online and helping them if they are having trouble etc. this not only gets my name out there but I am also building a network of friends that are often happy to take a look any opportunites I might want to pass on. One thing to remember when looking at this type of online income opportunity is that unfortunately there is often a lot of scams out there - while there are many legitimate programs, too often some will promise things they can't possibly deliver so please make sure you thoroughly research before joining any program. And remember more often than not if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Affiliate And Viral Marketing etc 

For me the best way to earn online is via affiliate marketing. By creating my own websites and/or blogs and monetising them using affiliate programs such as google adsense and clickbank etc I am building a residual income.

There are way too many different affilate programs to mention here - so I am just going to add some links etc to programs that have worked for me. Depending on what you market or promote some of these may be a great addition to your site(s)

For example if you have a website that is family or child related perhaps something like eZpZemail would work well for you.
