Jobs for Teenagers

Teenagers have it rough when it comes to getting decent jobs.  Because they're still in high school and without a degree, many people think that they're just plain stupid, when in fact, they may have plenty of useful skills and be able to do a number of jobs quite well.

There are a lot of places out there which will hire teenagers, though, and some of them pay pretty well.  This lens will explore some of the better option for teens to make money online while still in high school.

Personal Assistant

There are a lot of online business owners out there looking for work-at-home personal assistants and part-time help. These positions are difficult to find, but they are easily the best jobs for teens around. I'll update this lens whenever I find any openings.

Babysitting

Babysitting is the tried and true method of making money for most teens, and it still remains a very viable option that doesn't involve too much work on your part. If you have decent kids to watch, you can prop them up in front of the TV and do your homework while they're just fine entertaining themselves.

To expand beyond the bounds of your neighbors, create a website and post ads on craigslist. Without a website it would be practically impossible to get people to trust you, but for a small investment in your time, you could potentially get a job on any day of the week!

Telecommuting 101

Telecommuting is a great way to make some extra money, and since you're a teenager, there is no need to worry about a person's opinion of your age, since they don't need to know about it! If you have the skills, that's really all that matters right?

Do you know Blogging?

You probably want to learn a little bit about Blogging if you plan on doing anything with online writing. Here are some basics
  1. When writing for a blogger, keep it upbeat and professional. Slander and mockery can get your boss in trouble, so don't go there.
  2. Keep it factual. While you may be tempted to include your opinion on a topic, this is not always welcome. Write about the facts, and talk about your opinion.
  3. Stay relevant. Keep the subject matter in mind, and avoid long, drawn-out tangents.
