Online Printable SAT Math Practice Tests - Getting the Right Material

If you're looking for online printable SAT math practice tests because you're taking the SAT soon and you want to be prepared, I've found resources I want to share with you. The college board says that self study is one of the most effective ways that students can prepare for the test, so it's a good idea to start as early as possible.

There are a lot of resources on the internet where you can find preparatory material, and I've tried to include my favorite sites. In addition to sat math practice tests, I've also listed resources for the critical reading and writing portions.

SAT Math Section

What you need to know

The math section is composed of three sections, two 25 minute sections and one 20 minute section. Each section has multiple choice as well as grid in answers. The sections are ordered from easiest to hardest for each type of question. So there will be a section of multiple choice in which the first question is the easiest and the last the hardest, followed by a section of grid in questions from easiest to hardest.

When you're looking for online printable sat math practice tests, you need to keep in mind the above. If they deviate from that formula, they aren't going to be giving you the full effect of good study material.

Changes in the New SAT

What's different from the old SAT?

There are a few changes in the new version of the SAT. The scoring is increased from 1600 to 2400. The style of questions that are asked have also changed. For the math section specifically, some Algebra II questions have been added. According to the college board, however, the questions are still a measure of the student's ability to reason and problem solve, so you shouldn't get stressed out over their inclusion. A solid foundation will get you through the test with a good score.

Check the site that you get your math practice tests from, see if they're designed for the new or old SAT, though. The inclusion of the new questions may not affect you, but you want them present in your study materials. Everything that you do while studying is crucial, as you will test the way you study.
