Online bingo is fast growing here in the UK.
There are plenty of sites available where you can enjoy a game or two. These range from the famous Gala Bingo, through to other sites that you may not have heard of but who have lots of players and offer great cash prizes.
My current favourite bingo sites are:
Astro Bingo
Astro give you a £10 bonus for free just for signing up. If you plan on playing a lot, make sure that your first deposit is a reasonable size - they'll add double as much again to the first deposit you put in. For instance, if you put in £10 they'll add the £10 welcome bonus and also double your £10, making £40 in all.
Astro offer both the regular UK 90 ball bingo and the 75 ball version played in America. You can play either style of game and every game is guaranteed to have at least one winning player, so you know that you've got a chance of winning every time you play. If there is more than one winner in a game, their computer will share the winnings evenly between you.
Their cards start at just 5 pence each, so you'll have plenty of chances to win from your original sign-up bonus.
If you want, the computer will auto-daub your cards for you - this comes in especially handy if you're playing more than one card in a game as it means you won't miss any of the numbers called.
You can sign up for Astro Bingo here.
Bingo Boudoir
If you've got your eye set on big jackpots, this could be the site for you. They pay out over £80,000 in prizes every day and each week there's a £1 million jackpot available.
They're not as generous as Astro Bingo in their sign up bonus - they only match the amount you put in plus 10 free cards - but in my view they are better in the long term as they'll give you half as much again on every additional deposit you make (so long as it's between £20 and £100). For regular online bingo players, this is a big plus point.
Bingo Boudoir have also taken a leaf out of the big American casinos. You get loyalty points for every game you play (and double points when you play during Happy Hour). Loyalty points can be turned back into more bingo games or you can use them for other rewards as well. You're even given bonus loyalty points when you recommend a friend to join the site.
If you only get a chance to play online bingo at weekends then they run regular weekend promotions so that you don't miss out.
Why not check out Bingo Boudoir now?
When you play bingo in a bingo hall, the caller will usually say the digits of the number on their own first. They will then say the number itself, for example, "four and seven, forty-seven". After that, depending on the caller, they may use one of the many slang terms for the number called. These vary from caller to caller but here is a list of the most popular versions:Bingo, Housey Housey (United Kingdom) or Housie (New Zealand and Australia) is a gambling game of unknown origin.Ask Oxford online Players mark off numbers on a ticket as they are randomly called out, in order to achieve a winning combination.
It is not to be confused with the similar American game Bingo, as the tickets and the calling are slightly different.
