Facebook is a great place to advertise yourself because the people that see your profile are likely to be in your ideal audience, or know someone who is. It's also likely that they came to be your "friend" on Facebook from a recommendation. So they are far from being a distant stranger.
The first place,to post your link is in the little welcome box that Facebook gives you just under your photo on your profile page. This box has a little pencil in the top right corner for you to edit.
