Help! I Need an Online Marketing Solution

The hardest part of the whole online marketing process is just getting started. Just write. You can't let your own fears hold you back. You don't need to be an English major to write content, you don't need to be a computer programmer to get your content published, you don't have to be an expert project manager to keep track of the whole process, and you don't have to have a huge budget to get your message heard.

The first thing you need to do in creating your online marketing solution is make a list of topics related to your niche that you can write about. You don't have to know everything about the topics you want to write about. As long as they are relevant to your business and to your audience, you can always research the topic before you write.

Once you have a list of topics to get you started on your online marketing journey, you can do some keyword research about those topics. You need to know what keywords people actually use to search for what you are writing about. You can use the google keyword reasearch tool (which is FREE), or you can use any one of the more sophisticated keyword research tools that are available like
Micro Niche Finder. This is the tool that I use. No it is not free, but the one time investment will pay for itself over and over again. In my opinion it is the best keyword research tool around.

Your online marketing solution begins with content, so use the keywords you just researched and write an article on one of the topics on your list. I recommend writing your article in a word processing program on your computer and saving it there. Just get writing. Don't even worry about where you are going to post it just yet. Now write a second article. Maybe even a third and a fourth. In my experience, writing the content is the hardest part for most people, so just get a few pieces of content written and saved on your computer.

The online marketing solution comes with an organized plan for getting this information on the internet and getting your marketing in many places. You can go from place to place and do it all on your own. It is possible. I have done it and it can work. Just takes lots and lots of time. Not too long ago I found the Renegade Professional and Renegade University and they have all the training, step by step, to getting your content online and getting it found. There is a whole group of masterminds in the Renegade Professional that all contribute valuable insight in how and where to get your content found on the internet. They walk you through all the steps. I highly recommend you check them out. I sure wish I had found them when I was first learning all this stuff! Even with some knowledge of marketing on the web, you can learn a lot from the Renegade Professional. At last count there were over 160 step by step videos about all the steps in the online marketing process.

The best part about this online marketing solution is that you are able to leverage your content. You are going to be glad you saved that content on your hard drive because you can use that same information in multiple ways. One word of caution: the search engines will penalize you for having duplicate content. But you can modify the content for different formats and use it again! You can use your written content to create a video (Hint: Google LOVES video). You can write an article, modify it and create a squidoo lens, change it again slightly and write a blog post. Make that video. Post a link to your facebook page. Tweet it. Bookmark it. Then optimize your content for a different keyword (from your research) and post it all again.
