Online Scrapbooking

So what is online scrapbooking and is it complicated? Well the answer is quite simple. It is creating layouts on your computer, and having them printed for you, just as you would have your photos printed. It can be complicated, that is for sure, but the complication merely comes from the type of digital scrapbooking you are doing. If you buy DVD's and download kits or embellishments from various places, that you then work with to create pages, that can be complicated. However, if you find an all-inclusive program that guides you through the entire process, providing complimentary color palettes and page designs, it can be as simple as a few clicks of your mouse. I know, because I have tried both ways.

After buying many DVD's and reading articles about digital scrapbooking, I was still lost and had not created any type of layout I would like to print... and I didn't know where to print them either. I nearly gave up. Luckily, Close To My Heart developed an amazing software program called Studio J. It is so simple to use and you can create beautiful layouts in minutes, without any real scrapbooking knowledge at all. How amazing is that. And the best part, is that you can create a FREE ACCOUNT and play as much as you want. I decided to give it a try.

There are several reasons why I love the Studio J program.

The reason I chose to share this photo is simply to demonstrate what you can do with photos. Normally, you would have to pay a pretty penny to get a 7x12 photo printed for you. And in fact, not many places enlarge to this size. Let's not also forget the time involved in sending the picture off to be enlarged and then time to drive and pick it up (or wait for it to be mailed). Even if you print your own photo's at home- you would have trouble there as well unless you had a 12x12 photo printer- but again, the paper for that is quite costly, and most of the time, 12x12 printers don't print all the way to the edge of the photo paper.

Now, with Studio J, all you have to do is drag and drop the photo you want to use right into the photo well. The software will automatically re-size it for you. You also do not have to worry about quality... if quality is going to be an issue, the software will let you know right away. How cool is that! I know LOVE printing my 12x12 pages with extremely large focal point pictures. It's a snap!
