You know how rewarding it is to go to the small local book store where the proprietor knows you and takes care of you, and where the selection of books may be smaller than at the big boxes but where all of the books that you really want to read can be easily found?  Welcome to BookWise, because that is exactly the philosophy here.

BookWise is the brainchild of Richard Paul Evans who wanted to create a BookWise online bookstore similar to the local book store experience, and also to offer his patrons the chance to improve their financial lives at the same time they are improving their minds.

Evans and fellow enlightened entrepreneurs Robert Allen and Dennis Webb are the founders of this unique book store.  Through BookWise you'll have the opportunity to buy wonderful books at competitive prices while running a profitable home business that will be a part of a life changing venture.

You can watch a video presentation with Richard Paul Evans and Robert Allen at www.mybookwise.com/onlinebooks/company.html

A New Mega Bookstore

With Books, Music, and Movies Galore

As of 2008 the BookWise bookstore has expanded to over one and a half million books, music discs, and movie dvd's. That's 1.5 million selections.

And to come later in 2008 will be a wide selection of digital games to choose from!

This huge expansion is possiple because BookWise has partnered with Baker and Taylor, one of the world's largest distributors of books, music, and movies. This allows BookWise to offer great prices and without an annual fee.

And as always, 1% goes to charity to help create a better world.

Take a look at the BookWise bookstore and enjoy the selections.

The BookWise Intoductory Video

Like a Great Corner Bookstore

This short You Tube video is one of the best I have ever seen. Listen to and watch Carolyn Hartley, an independent associate explain the benefits of BookWise. As she said, she chose BookWise "because it's the most refreshing home business you will ever come across. I promise that if you take the time to learn all the benefits of BookWise you will be blown away!"

About Richard Paul Evans

The Story of an Angel

Richard Paul Evans wrote a Christmas story for his children while he was working as an advertising executive. He published the story himself and called it The Christmas Box. He distributed it locally and it became a bestseller--in his local community.

This success prompted Evans to publish the book nationally, and The Christmas Box hit the #2 position on the NY Times list. This spurred a bidding war by the major publishers to secure the rights to publish and market the book.

Simon and Schuster received the rights and published the book in 1995. Then an amazing thing happened. The Christmas Box reached the #1 position on the NY Times list for both hardback and paperback editions. No other book had ever done so.

The Christmas Box was made into a movie in 1995. Then his book, Timepiece, was published in 1996 and also made into a movie. In 1998 The Locket was published and also made into a move. And in 2003 A Perfect Day was published and also made into a movie.

Evans has written 16 books and is not done yet.

Richard Paul Evans has given a lot back with his charity work. He founded "The Christmas Box House International" charity in 1994 to give help and comfort to abused and neglected children. Since then, over 16,000 children have benefitted from the work of The Christmas Box House.

In 1994 Evans commissioned a bronze angel statue and dedicated the first one on December 6, 1994, in Salt Lake City. The statue is called The Christmas Box Angel and is modelled after the angel monument which Evans described in his first book, The Christmas Box. He created it in response to reports that grieving parents who had lost children wanted the angel as a place to gather and remember.

There are currently 25 angel statues installed around the U.S. with plans for angels to be installed in about 100 more communities. The bronze angels are over 4 feet tall and provide a focus for parents to leave flowers and to remember their children. Each statue hosts a celebration on December 6 at 7:00 p.m. each year with candles, a moment of silence, white flowers, and a children's choir.

About Robert Allen

An Enlightened Millionaire

Robert Allen has been a successful author and entrepreneur for many years. He was inspired to begin investing in real estate while young, but he learned to invest without using his own money. His success brought him a small fortune and prompted him to write a book about his investing techniques.

Allen published the famous Nothing Down in 1980 and it became a highly successful book. It stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for 46 weeks. It sold over a million copies and became the most successful real estate investment book in history. It became the book that every investor wished he had written.

The Nothing Down book has been reprised in several forms since. Nothing Down For The 90's came out in 1990, and Nothing Down For The 2000's was published in 2004. In 2006 Allen co-authored Nothing Down For Women.

Robert Allen wrote about his wealth building principles in his 1983, Creating Wealth, in The Road To Wealth in 1987, and in The Challenge in 1987.

In 2000 Allen published the book, Multiple Streams of Income, which has become a rallying cry ever since. Allen talked about creating wealth through real estate, through network marketing, through the use of the internet, and through information marketing. Allen has created significant wealth through all four streams and used the book, Multiple Streams of Income, to share his ideas and techniques in each stream.

In 2002, Allen and his partner Mark Victor Hansen, published the interesting book, The One Minute Millionaire. The book was about building wealth with several streams of income. Allen and Hansen wrote a fiction story on the right hand pages and wrote about the nonfiction techniques being used on the left hand pages. The technique was a first and was very imaginative.

Robert Allen and Mark Victor Hansen, the co-author of the many titles in the Chicken Soup For the Soul series with Jack Canfield, have started the Enlightened Millionaire Institute. Their goal is to train many proteges to be enlightened millionaires. They plan to create a million new millionaires, all committed to the enlightened mindset.

Enlightened millionaires use their excess wealth to give back through charities, foundations, and church tithing. Allen, Hansen, and Richard Paul Evans are good examples of the enlightened mindset, as each has contributed significantly to worldwide change with their generosity.

Buy Books at a Low Price

Compare to Amazon

As a BookWise associate you can buy books for yourself or as presents for others at 40% to 50% discounts. You can buy the same books from Amazon.com, but which source can give you the best price?

Amazon is huge, but let's compare some of their prices with your BookWise associate's prices.

The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. Amazon price, $11.99. Your BookWise price, $10.00.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker. Amazon price, $12.57. Your price, $11.97.

On the Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman. Amazon price, $10.68. Your price, $10.17.

The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans. Amazon price, $9.73. Your price, $7.77.

Freakonomics by Levitt and Dubner. Amazon price, $16.77. Your price, $16.77. A tie here.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Amazon price, $18.12. Your price, $11.97.

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Amazon price, $14.37. Your price, $14.37. A tie here.

The Boleyn Inheritance by Phillippa Gregory. Amazon price, $16.35. Your price, $12.98.

The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama. Amazon price, $13.75. Your price, $15.00. Amazon wins this one.

But you get the picture. In most cases your BookWise associate price is as good or better than your price for the same book from Amazon. Considering that Amazon does not offer a Bundle of Benefits, what are you going to do?

The Preferred Customer

If a person does not want to become a full associate member, that's OK. Not everyone wants to have the benefits of a home business, but it's a good bet that they do want the benefits of being able to buy excellent books at a reduced price.

Winning In the Margins

It All Adds Up

Richard Paul Evans' most recent book is called, "The 5 Lessons A Millionaire Taught Me About Life and Wealth." The book recounts important lessons that he has learned from other millionaires about how you can create wealth in your life and how to properly use it.

Evans found through feedback that the most popular lesson in the book was Lesson 4 which he called "Win in the Margins." So, he researched it some more and came up with some interesting and amazing stories about ways that others have found to win in the margins.

I invite you to visit his thoughtfully created website called WinningintheMargins. The site is a very interesting 20 minute audio and visual presentation. Evans talks a little bit about his own life and about lessons he has learned, and then he presents numerous examples of how people can win in the margins.

I encourage you to read the book if you have not already done so. Further, I invite you to visit the website from the link below. The audio-visual presentation is exceptionally well done, and I'm sure you will learn quite a few things. The passkey is bookstore.

To listen to the audio version of this review, click here.
The One Minute Millionaire by Robert Allen and Mark Victor Hansen
This book is actually two books in one. The book is half fiction and half non-fiction. It's a unique idea that I've never seen before in print. The right hand pages present a fiction, developing a story from beginning to end. The facing pages are non-fiction as they develop the real world concepts that are being used in the fiction story. Both books are very absorbing.
The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me by Richard Paul Evans
Richard Paul Evans possesses the ability to simplify important ideas to make them easy to understand. He applies that ability to the lessons that he has learned over the years about creating wealth. This is a good self help book about some basic principles of creating wealth and what to do with it once it has been created.
Nothing Down for the 2000's by Robert Allen
This book is the latest version of Allen's 1980 bestseller, "Nothing Down," which became the most popular real estate investing book in history and which stayed on the NY Times bestseller list for 46 weeks.
How to Make the Rest of Your Life the Best of Your Life by Mark Victor Hansen and Art Linkletter
This book is very full of ideas, stories, and advice about how an older person can be vital, active, healthy, and full of purpose. The many lists and resources are excellent. The book is humorous and absorbing and fun to read.

Just For Fun

Because I Love to Juggle

This is an excellent juggling routine by comedian Chris Bliss. It is well choreographed to the music. You get to hear Paul McCartney's strong voice and a medley of short pieces that the Beatles put together for their final album, "Abbey Road." McCartney wrote "Golden Slumbers" using a 17th century poem by Thomas Dekker as the lyrics. In the segment titled, "Carry That Weight," you get to hear all four of the Beatles singing together, which was a rare ocurrence. Then in the final segment, the story goes that the lyric, "The love you take is equal to the love you make," was the final lyric that Paul McCartney wrote for the Beatles. The routine and the music are a great combination. Bet you can't watch it just once.
