Online Community Software? What's In It For Me...
Why?
Because social networking is IN. Social networking also opens up a tremendous pool of possibilities for marketers, that is if they use it right. And social networking sites bring a nice fat check for the owners of the network application. That's why.
The question which immediately pops up in the mind is: What kind of online community software should I use? Is it expensive? Is it difficult to install? Will I be able to run it? And once I have it all setup, how the hell will I get all these Facebook and MySpace addicts to join MY online community?
What Kind Of Online Community Software Should I Use?
Here are some free sites where you can download social network apps:
iSocial is a free social networking CMS software that allows you to create your own Friendster and Orkut like sites
People Aggregator Social Networking, blogging, ID Hub, content management and an aggregation engine are all available in source code form or they will host it (meaning you have no control over your ads)
BoonEx This one is perhaps the most widely known. Dolphin web community script is a universal software package that allows you to build any kind of online community. With a huge variety of features and options, you can quickly develop your own community, dating or social-networking site.
Those, which is the most of us, who are not programmers and tech geeks will have to pay for having the status "Online Community Owner".
Now, you can outsource a task like this but the costs for installing a Facebook or MySpace alike software will run up to $ 6000 and more. Ouch.
... But do not despair yet!...
There is something new on its way to us poor souls. And it's going to be BIG. Niche socializing will get easier with the Niche Socializer. Revolutionary software and a complete how to tutorial for people like you and me (read: knowing painfully little about geeky stuff).

- Its about time!
Im so sick and tired of Myspace and other social networking sites that have been blocking links and selling out with over priced advertising.
This will definatly help my marketing campaigns.
Great info, 5 stars!

- well, I think it will depend on the owner of the niche socializer program.. the power of the software is the ability to create NICHE online community sites...for example if I am a guitar maniac, i could build a community specially targeting other guitar addicts. Targeted community tends to be much more responsive. Then I can market my own, or affiliate products on the site, charge my members to display classified ads, or i could charge for an access to a special area with something valuable for my members (if I create such area).
The software has many inbuilt income streams, and it only depends on the owner how well he monetizes it. The Niche Socializer program includes training in these areas, plus offers live coaching as well so I think that if one gives it a go, the chances of success are strong.

- Welcome to Squidoo. I am active on FaceBook and Twitter as well as Squidoo and probably spend way too much time on them. It will be interesting to see if the Niche Socializer takes off. Thanks for the heads up.

- Well, I haven't used any social community platform coz I wouldn't know what and how. But if i think I could build up my own Lose Weight Fast interactive community... the members could share their recipes and experiences, communicate with each other, make diet friends...hmm, and i could earn by displaying ads just like squidoo here or facebook.
So, I signed up and curiously await the launch...
