As most people who have gone online in search of starting an online home based business have found out there are a lot of opportunities around and it's difficult to know which one to choose. Any SUCCESSFUL ONLINE MLM BUSINESS should be designed to help the maximum possible amount of people who join to succeed. This benefits the company because the more active distributors it has the faster it grows and the more business it will make. Unfortunately this approach gets off to a slower start as more time is invested in each person but most companies put minimum time into their people so the company explodes overnight and becomes huge. The problem is ultimately the 98% failure rate among MLM distributors kicks in and the vast majority of it's people become disillusioned with MLM and quit as a result the company collapses. So my first piece of advice would be to find a company with steady but stable growth that doesn't promise $1000's overnight but will maintain a higher retention rate among it's distributors and will ultimately build much faster in the long term.

My second piece of advice to finding a SUCCESSFUL ONLINE MLM BUSINESS is look at the system that is used to build your business and the training and upline support that is available to you when you need it. Do the distributors work effectively as a team. A system should be easily duplicable to keep retention rates high in the business and the easier and more effective it is the more chance you and your downline have of succeeding. Even if you can do it if your downline can't you will fail.

By marketing online you are advertising to a potentially huge amount of prospects the only problem is that most people have no idea how to effectively market online you will quickly find this out as you go on the internet and you will come across many sites which offer big volumes of traffic as they all will open with something along the lines of; great site, shame no-one sees it. Most people do not know the few simple techniques which bring traffic to their websites. Make sure your future upline does.
