Custom Photobook Bookmaking

THE FACE-TO-FACE
After you have thought through what you want in a photobook, and have chosen the images you want included, then you and I have either a face-to-face chat over chai tea--this option only works if you are in the middle Tennessee area!--or we communicate via e-mail or phone as to your likes and dislikes concerning colors, themes, fonts, and all of the other little things that go into making a book that is a reflection of YOU.

SHARING TIME
The next step is that of sharing the images--and there are options for this, too. (I like options!) You can either mail a CD of your images together with a listing that includes image numbers and discriptions or thumbnail images; OR you can send the images online via an FTP website--this allows large uploads to be made quickly and safely.

BOOKMAKING BUSY-NESS
Next up is some busy time for me at the computer...and within a short period of time, you get THE CALL--or THE E-MAIL telling you that your book is ready to be ordered! WOW! How is that for service?!?

PAYMENT
Payment is a snap, and it is secure, too, as all you have to do is to use the PAYPAL link on my website!

A SIDE NOTE HERE: In making custom photobooks for commercial ventures, typically there is a desire for more "say-so" as to how the photobook looks. In these cases, we simply add another step called PROOFING--which is when I upload web-resolution images of the book pages for your approval, and after that approval has been given, you get THE E-MAIL.

Once your custom photobook is ready to be ordered, I will e-mail a link to you that goes straight to your very own coffee-table quality photobook! It will be available for purchase in my Blurb Bookstore.

BASIC BOOK DESIGN
*This fee schedule is for ANY size book that Blurb prints (7 in x 7 in up to 13 in x 11 in);

*includes BASIC photo editing such as cropping, basic color enhancement or correction, and re-sizing of photos;

*and also includes BASIC content (text) editing:

$100 for every 25 pages--that's only $4/page!!

ADVANCED IMAGE/PHOTO EDITING and SCANNING OF PHOTOS
This includes anything beyond the basic editing techniques listed above. Some of the available editing techniques or effects are: sepia or black/white toning of images; photo restoration; selective coloration of images; collage made of images; antique or vintage photo effect; grunge photo effect; HDR (high dynamic range) effect; oil painting, pen and ink, charcoal or watercolor effect; retro comic book effect; Da Vinci-style effect; Warholizing; photo mosaic, etc.----$100/hour

CONTENT EDITING
Advanced assistance with choice of photos, theme, or text, etc.------$100/hour
