There is still a conflict over the effect of keyword rich url over onpage seo. Some people from seo world think that the url of your website should be keyword rich as search engines do give those websites preference over the ones that are not using keywords in their urls, and some believe it doesn't matter when it comes to on page seo, but why take a risk. If you ask me I would say it does help for a site to rank if your URL is keyword rich.

ii.Title

Right the most important of all and which is proven to work is that Google gives a lot of weight to the title of a website, so your title should be keyword rich and it should not exceed the limit of 70 characters because that is the maximum width visible in Google. The shorter the title the better it will be for your site. Now one thing I would like to share that most of the people use commas (,) , underscores(_) and a lot of other symbols to separate the title of their webpages, i.e if some body wants to target 2 separate keywords let's assume the keywords are onpage seo and on page seo. Most of the people separate them as onpage seo, on page seo, now this is not good at all from the seo point of view. you should always use a pipe sign which is | or a hyphen which is - . You can find the pipe sign beside your shift button.

i.Content

Now you should use keywords quite often in your content. Do not over do them but keep on using them where possible after every two or three sentences. This is very important as they say content is the king. Now my topic of today is onpage seo and on page seo. So I have been using them if you would have noticed by now where ever possible and I'm not over doing it. One thing more that when ever you use your keywords make few of them bold, few of them italic and underline few of them. This tells google that these particular words are important in your content.

if you don't know HTML, you simply go to your blog or webpage html section and to make them bold you will type < b>< /b> attributes before and after your keyword .To make it italic it will be < i> < /i> to make it underline it will be< u> < /u> . so you will see the I have made my keywords ,onpage seo and on page seo, bold italic and underline on some occasions.

ii.Headings

Another thing to remember is headings, use at least 3 headings, h1, h2, and h3 with your keyword inside the content where possible. For h1 you will use the commandyour keyword will come in between these attributes. same for h2 and h3 just change h1 to 2 and 3.

i.Image

when using an image always change it's name to your keyword using the ALT attribute in HTML. Now to use ALT attribute you have to go to html,section of your website and you will see some thing like < img src=" the address of image">. For instance If you want to change the name of the image in your webpage then before the closing tag > you will write alt="your keyword"> so in my case I will change the image name to alt="onpage seo" and when I use the second image I will change it's name to "on page seo".
