short video of how Zazzle works
1. Creating an Account
Creating a Zazzle Account

This is where you will create your user name...so think about what it is you are going to sell...funny sayings on t-shirts?...your photography pictures?...perhaps your target market is university students...and you will sell them clothing, hats, binders...Zazzle even has skateboards!
Complete the info with your email and of course, Zazzle needs to make sure you are 13 or older to sell online.

2. Filling out Basic Information
description of store...a little bit about yourself...

What's your description going to be?...Ask yourself "who are your customers dealing with"?...tell them a bit about yourself.
Give them that personal connection. Tell them who you are, why you opened a Zazzle store...is this a hobby, an addiction, or just your way of helping out with the bills. Perhaps you are a collage student, selling things the kids would like to help pay for tuition.
Or maybe your store is to showcase your photography hobby/business...and you are going to sell your view of the world on a postcard...or tshirt.
3. Picking a Template
Adding color to your store front

This is all about first impressions, making your space pretty, attractive and just show off your wares in a neat, organized, colorful fashion.
Some people think colors create moods or impulses...what do people find attractive to the eye...what colors do you like best?...the differences can range from pretty in pink to dark and masculine, the choice is up to you. Again, think about what you are selling?...would an 18 year old college student pick a pink store front to flog his skateboards and designer ked shoes?...probably not.
If you are html savy you can even edit these templates or create your own!
4. Uploading Images
Now it's time to add images for products

Choose "upload images"...image sources (my computer)...then find on your computer the files/images you wish to upload.
Zazzle has even provided for you the best image sizes and pixels per inch for each product...to find this info, just go to the Zazzle help button (top right corner of main page) and type in the search bar: "Accepted image sizes and resolution". This detailed guide will tell you exactly what size and resolution your images need to be for a quality print on each specific product.
5. Creating product
image + product = goods you can sell

After you have images uploaded, select the image you wish to create products with. You do this by checking the small box at the bottom left of the image with the red check mark then click "create product" up on the top right side of screen...a menu will appear, choose what product it is you wish to make, list and sell.
6. Image Adjustments & Adding Text

Here we can adjust the image, left or right, up or down...and make sure it fits just right on Zazzle's product.
We can also add text. Might I suggest, on the back of a product (such as a greeting card or postcard) that you include your Zazzle url (eg: www.zazzle.com/alteredkat) ...so that when the recipient receives the product they know where to buy more if they like it...or, perhaps the buyer bought it for themselves but months from now when they use up the last one...are they going to remember which Zazzle store they bought it from? Why risk them going to some other seller?...give them the url!
7. Product Details

This is everything from title to tagging...first, let's give your product a title "Angel postage stamp" (for example)...add a description, is this a vintage image, digital art, photography you've done, etc...then add tags, this will help with search engines and customers finding your product. Pick your price & percentage of sale. Then choose categories...where will people look to find your products...under photography? vintage? flowers? etc
8. Congrats! Your 1st product!
You are done!

Don't be alarmed if your product doesn't get approved right away, some items like postage stamps will take longer for approval but I've never had to wait longer than a couple hours for a product to be approved.
