OpenX - great open source ad serving software for webmasters

If you are webmaster and want to save your web space and get the most of your ad space, then OpenX is for you!

I've been using OpenX (previously called OpenAds or PhpAdsNew) for some time and im very satisfied with the results.

If you are webmaster, and planning to sell your ad space or add your own ads, Openx will do a good job for you. Imagine you have single page or two, and want to run google ads, sell some ad/banner impressions for people who wants to advertise on your pages, and you still want to run some of your own ads as well at the same time. If you place all the ads in one single page your page gets overcrowded by all these ads and page content will be even hard to see. Good thing, that OpenX is free and open to every webmaster.

There are some requirements for instalation:

You will need to make sure your webserver includes includes:

* PHP support
* MySQL database

You need to know some configuration details about your webserver and database, to complete the installation.

With OpenX software you can:

* Maximise your revenue the right ad campaigns to the right audience.
* Track the performance of all your ad campaigns.
* Mix direct, network, house ads to optimise your revenue per page

Ad Targeting

OpenX can target your ads by country, continent, language, date, hour, source, operating system, browser, referrer page IP and more. You can also exclude your ads to show (if need comes)to certain IP's, Country, referrer page and so on.

Reports

You can set up to get customised reprots for yourself and for publishers or advertisers by e-mail.
And, of course you can always go to your Cpanel and see all the reports there.
Interface (control panel) has different languages (-+20 or so)
