“Making the dreams of U.S. soldiers come true”

The Operation

"Operation Once in a Lifetime's mission is to make the dreams of U.S. Soldiers and their families come true by providing free financial and morale support to U.S Service members, their families and veterans regardless of rank, deployment, physical condition or branch or service.

Every contribution will go to helping a soldier and their families, whether paying a soldiers electric bill, car payment or flying a soldier home, we will be there when soldiers need us most, because they are there when we need them most."

Great Story

Operation Once in a Lifetime helped Spc. Billek fly home to see his family when he could not afford a flight. Army Specialist Danny Billek, 26, from Palm Harbor, Fla., craddles his new born son Nicholas during the annual Veterans Day service at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor Mo. Billek is home on leave from Iraq from his duty with the 377th Transportation Corps. "Had to come home for the birth of my new baby," he said. Nicholas was born November 3rd.

Sales from this page supports Operation Helmet

OPERATION HELMET provides helmet upgrade kits free of charge to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as to those ordered to deploy in the near future. These helmet upgrades do four primary things:

* Protection - Shock-absorbing pads keep the helmet from slapping the skull when hit with blast forces, fragments, or being tumbled along the ground or inside a vehicle. Keeps blast-wave from transmitting flexure of the Kevlar shell directly to the skull via too-stiff pads. This decreases the chance of brain injury from IED's, bombs, RPG's, vehicle accidents, falls, etc.
* Comfort - If it is comfortable, it will stay on troop's head longer and more often.
* Stability - Keeps the helmet firmly on the head and out of the eyes.
* Durability - Doesn't need to be replaced after one month of wear - hard to do when at a Combat Outpost or Forward Operating Base an eternity from a logistics supply point.

Operation Helmet is a 100% volunteer, non-partisan, charitable organization that provides helmet upgrade kits free of charge to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as to those ordered to deploy in the near future.
