Orange County Choppers (OCC) is a custom motorcycle manufacturer founded by Paul Teutul, Sr. and Paul Teutul, Jr. in 1999, best known for their outrageous chopper designs. The company was featured on American Chopper, a reality TV show that debuted in September 2002 on the Discovery Channel, which has contributed to the company's quick rise to fame. In 2007, Discovery Channel's sister channel TLC took over the broadcasting.
Their popularity has led them to build custom theme bikes for some of the biggest names in corporate America such as Microsoft, Lincoln and Coca-Cola. Today, Orange County Choppers is regarded as one of the world's premier builders of custom motorcycles.
About Orange County Choppers
A new international headquarters designed to combine their production and retail facilities was constructed in the Town of Newburgh and opened April 24, 2008.Many are under the mistaken belief that the company is based in Orange County, California; rather, it is based in the county of the same name in New York state. In fact in one of the episodes of American Chopper, Paul Sr. was shown getting a tattoo on his left arm with the designation OCC New York in order to clear up this very point. OCC's production facility was initially located in the hamlet of Rock Tavern, but has since moved to nearby Montgomery. The company also operates a retail store in Montgomery, New York, another store at the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack, and a season kiosk at the Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall in Central Valley, NY.

My top favorite bikes were the Liberty Bike, Carroll Shelby Bike 1, Supernatural’s Cymbals Bike, Mercedes-AMG Bike, Black Widow Bike and the Fire Bike. My favorite episodes are Season 2 Carroll Shelby Bike 1, Season 3 Eragon Bike 2 near fiasco, Season 7 Fired …ODIE, should I say more? And Season 8 Supernatural’s Cymbals Bike.
The tension and fighting is ridiculous and I don’t know if they are subconsciously using this for ratings but Senior seems to have issues with other family members he had stopped communicating with for years. It’s not funny and I would never let my kids watch the show because none of them are role models. The show is entertaining to me because of the dynamics of the build. Some bikes were ridiculous and super ugly. I cannot see them unveiling the ugly ridiculous bikes with a straight face. Still I cannot get enough of the show. Still Senior knows how to run the company and get things done. So when it comes to business I feel he is right everytime.

Paul Jr. has opened his own shop and the only thing he can come up with is another spider bike. Paul Jr.s shop is nothing more than another OCC shop. If Paul Jr. would have put in the time and sweat with OCC that he has put into his shop the firing would not have happened. Paul Jr. suckered Paul Sr., into giving him 20% of the company and then shortly after starts a fight in witch he get fired, seems a little contrived. I would think that Paul would be happy that OCC is worth nothing, after all Paul Jr. was the only thing that keep OCC going, or so he says. Mike has no part in this, he has never add to any part of the business. Mike goes to where he can be kept and not have to do any work. As I said, they want Paul to change to suit them but refuse any changes on their part. You have to give a little to get a little.

The truth is that JR. has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was 100% behind the creativity, and unprecedented designs all of these years. Since leaving OCC he has created masterpiece after Masterpiece, yet OCC has pumped out uninspired bikes one after the other, the caddy bike is a perfect example.. What was that thing that OCC rode in ? Now, that said, When you are creative, when you have the ability to create without a blue print, it is time consuming, and it is something that CAN NOT ever be rushed, or forced. It ruins the whole flow. Now , Senior never understood this, he just saw it black and white, and he was unable to accept this fact. Senior was mean, and he was insulting to JR's craft and talent. There is absolutely no reason to scream and yell at any employee, let alone your son if for no other reason then it disrupts EMployee Moral. I think that Senior is now in a downward spiral that has sent him into depression, and business suicide. He went from ding bikes for the military, and huge companies to corn growers.. He could end his and his families misery very easily. Son, I Love You. You are more important then a bike, and we need our family back. Son, I see now that you were very very important to the design process, and I am sorry that I said and did the things I did. Lets make up, and work it out some how.. Thats all it takes..

The Orange County Choppers Shelby GT 500E "Eleanor" Bike
Another legendary OCC bike is up for grabs on eBay right now. OCC built this Shelby GT 500E "Eleanor" chopper for Carroll Shelby on their international TV show "American Chopper". The only one of it's kind in the world was built to match the Shelby "Super Snake" GT 500E limited edition muscle cars by Unique Performance.
Designed as the ultimate Shelby motorcycle, the chopper features handcrafted sheet metal including a Shelby rear spoiler. The tank looks like the head of a cobra with fangs below the handlebars and airbrushed snake scales. Among many other unique details, the handlebars, feature wood inlay like the original Shelby's steering wheel.
Carroll Shelby's signature and the Shelby GT 500E logo are embroidered into the custom leather seat. The engine is supercharged just like the Shelby GT 500E Super Snake, producing an amazing 131HP.

- Your lens is cool, but as far as OCC; the show got a little too "dramatized" (if that's a word) for me. I was never that blown away by the bikes. I agree with some of the others that say that you can only have so many spider webs on various bikes and then the cool factor goes away. Each to their own, it's what makes the world go around.

- Have to agree, something definitely wrong with Senior. He cries over a dog but is the devil to his kids. Also what’s with Mike? He doesn’t want to learn anything and he doesn’t do anything, except walk around and try to talk intelligently. I guess he get’s twenty percent of the company for just talking. I think he has L.A.S. (Lazy Ass Sydrome)
