Great lens and colorful pictures. My mother-in-law grew pototes, among other things, in the sandy soil where she lived. Some of her potatoes were so large we had to lift them with both hands!! Yep, Kentucky has fertile soil, alright!!

Thanks for your great lens - I appreciate your info, as a fellow organic gardener (and the oh-so-yummy pictures!). Thanks for all the great resources.

i grow my own garden down here in south carolina. Got to say I love the organic method and am opposed to fertilizer that is not natural but i hate that my tomatoes do not grow as big as chemically grown ones:( at least my health is better for not eating them:)

    Hi,
I lived in Lexington, Kentucky for about two years many years ago, but now I'm back in New Jersey, unfortunately. Kentucky was beautiful and calm. I didn't garden there, but I have been for years now. I grow organic tomatoes and a dozen herbs in my little patch of green, and eat only organic, when possible. It's the only way to go. Luv your lenses - the printable minis is my next visit - Thanks much!

Thanks for visiting, DownToEarthLiving! I look forward to visiting your lenses too. Maybe some day you will return to Kentucky. I personally think being in New Jersey would be really fun too. Later! :-)

I agree with you, that nothing beats the taste of a fresh tomato! It's a great idea to have a garden, even a small one, especially with food prices rising like they are.

Oh, I love organic growing, and I loved Kentucky! I use to live right over the bridge in Louisville, and use to go to Kentucky a good bit. I sat up at one of Kentucky's All Nations Pow-wows selling herbals. Goodness that has been years ago, but I remember I was tempted to move there because of my good friends! Great Lens..
