Welcome to Organically Made!

I am passionate about the need for organic food, cloth, and cleaning supplies. This lens will primarily focus on organic fabric and why it is so important.

I have a shop on Esty - www.organicallymade.etsy.com - that sells organic cotton infant & children's items. We only have a few items remaining (see below) because we've changed our company name.

Please see SK Naturals for even more organic items!

Why Organic Cotton?

It's best for you, your family and the planet!

* No worry of toxins - Organic cotton is grown without the use of herbicides, pesticides and insecticides. Conventionally grown cotton consumes approximately 25% of the insecticides and more than 10% of the pesticides used in the world.

* Organic cotton is grown using untreated, non-GMO seeds. Most conventional seeds are treated with fungicides or insecticides.

* Growing organic cotton helps preserve the environment's air, water and soil. Strong soil is built through crop rotation - it retains water better due to increased organic material in the soil. The water is cleaner due to the lack of chemical run-off from fields.

* Organic cotton is harvested with help from the seasonal freeze. Conventional cotton is defoliated with toxic chemicals.

* Plus, the fabric just feels great!

So choose organic and feel great about what you are doing for your family and the world.

Great lens with some useful links to learn more about organic cotton. Interesting about the harvesting using the seasonal freeze - hopefully not under threat from climate change!

Thanks for adding this to my group, Green things to covet.
