Should Your Baby Go Organic?

If you are a mother of young children like me you are used to being given lots of information about what is good and not so good for your children.  Of course you want to do your best, but is it really necessary to buy organic baby clothes, food and toys?

We are all becoming more aware that we have to do out part in improving out environment and living a greener life.

Finding the best organic products for your baby can be time consuming and confusing.  So browse through my guide to the best organic products for your baby.

Organic Cloth Diapers

I am a recent convert to cloth diapers and now I wish that I had found them a lot earlier.

After the birth of my second child 6 years ago I became increasingly aware of green issues but I admit I did not feel ready to take make the change to cloth diapers. I just couldn't face the idea at that time! But when I had my third baby I decided to make the change.

Is it more work? To be honest not that much work once you get used to it - and it is well worth it.

You need somewhere to store the soiled diapers before you put them into the washing machine. I then let them dry on a clothes drying rack.

Do they save money? You bet they do! Although the initial cost of the cloth diaper can seem a bit high you make up for it very quickly. Yes, you spend money on washing, but this is nothing compared to the cost of all those disposables.

Are they good for your baby as well as the environment? I really do not like using disposables now as they tend to give my son diaper rash. He is so much more comfortable in the cloth ones.

As an added benefit mothers say that cloth diapered babies potty train earlier. I will have to keep you posted on that one!

The leg openings are highly adjustable to especially accommodate both slim and chubby thighed babies. Separate waist and thigh settings allow you to adjust each opening independently to ensure a snug fit. This diaper is not waterproof and will require a cover. Colored diapers are colorfast and can be washed together with your white diapers without the colors bleeding.

So if you buy these diapers you will need the a cover
