Healthy Energy Drinks? Yes, but read carefully!

Energy usually contain artificially produced caffeine, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Taurine and of course, artificially produced vitamins.

People that consume the traditional energy drinks regularly are destined to eventually suffer many problems. A new generation is coming into adulthood with type 2 diabetes and other sedentary diseases.

One could say that many more people drink a cup or two or three of coffee every day and have never had any of the health issues associated with Taurine and energy drinks.

This is because coffee derives its caffeine from natural coffee beans.

In most energy drinks, the caffeine is synthetically produced in a factory, usually in India or China.

Unfortunately, this concentrated caffeine blast is absorbed into the bloodstream almost as soon as it hits the stomach.

Natural caffeine, is more gradually absorbed into the body. It is also less potent and therefore less toxic than artificial caffeine.

With natural caffeine or guaranine, the body can more easily flush out the excess quantities and not overtax the nervous system. But even with natural caffeine, one must use moderation.

It is best to stick with one regular cup of coffee (not the large Starbucks which is really like 6 coffees) or one 12 oz can of a natural energy drink or natural iced tea.
