Organic Fashion
Eco-fashion clothes are made using organic raw materials, such as cotton grown without pesticides and silk made by worms fed on organic trees. Eco-friendly fashion doesn't involve the use of harmful chemicals or bleaches to color fabrics! All environmentally safe fashion is suppose to be "from fair trade" - meaning the people who make the items are paid a fair price and have decent working conditions .

Are You Eco-Friendly or Not?
Are the products you use in everyday life ok for the environment?
Read this article and find out the definition of eco-friendly. Gain a better understanding of environmentally conscious decisions!
Environmentally friendly (also eco-friendly, nature friendly, and green) are synonyms used to refer to goods and services considered to inflict minimal or no harm on the environment. To make consumers aware, environmentally friendly goods and services often are marked with eco-labels. But because there is no single international standard for this concept, the International Organization for Standardization considers such labels too vague to be meaningful.

Why does this Bag say "F*@K Plastic!"?
Why should You ditch plastic?

We use over a hundred billion plastic bags every year, this number is in the US alone. Where do the plastic bags go after we're done?
Plastic bags fill landscape:
Most plastic bags go into landfills or they are littered and left in the street. Once a plastic bag becomes litter, they find their way into our waterways, parks, beaches, and streets. .
Plastic bags kill animals:
About 100,000 animals such as dolphins, turtles whales, penguins are killed every year due to plastic bags. Many animals will try to eat the bags and die
The plastic bag alternative...Do you care ENOUGH?
Worst Organic Fashions in Men's Briefs

Kaspar Organics shows off their knock-off American Apparel briefs. The tight white waistband is far from attractive and take my word for it...the fabric doesn't exactly look like it breathes well. lol. http://www.kasperorganics.com/
LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

sadly, the pictured man in the tighty whities doing a classic myspace pose is British Member of Parliament Chris Bryant. It is pretty fair to say he is embarrassed and to make matters worst those are not organic briefs but they are definitely a no-no fashion look.
Organic Skin Care Cosmetics
Organic VS. Chemical
The "Chilean Lip Panache The Ultimate Lip Treatment" is able to plump, firm, heal and nourish the lip area. Chilean Lip Panche is great at hydrating your lips and leaving them a little more full and lustful. I compared Chilean Lip Panache to Sugar Rosé Lip Treatment and found that Chilean Lip Panache was more hydrating because of the ingredients include:
Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax, Palm Christi Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Meadowfoam Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Avocado Butter, Vitamin E, Blood Orange Essential Oil, Rosehip Oil, Aloe Oil, Rosemary Oleoresin, DMAE, Neem Oil.
where as Sugar Rosé Lip Treatment only has:

Sugar, Meadowfoam Seed, Grape Seed Oils, Blackcurrant Oil, Vitamins A, C, and E
The Lip Pache from mod.skin is definitely the organicfashion choice.
The best part is the PRICE...I will be the first to admit organic fashion can be kind of expensive; However, what price can you put on the preservation of earth?
Chilean Lip Panache it is only around 8 dollars
where as Sugar Rosé Lip Treatment was at Sephora for 22 dollars.
from mod.skin is great for all types of skin because of the all natural ingredients whether you are African American, Asian American or Caucasian..Here is something of theirs I want to review next....maybe I will order it. Tell me what you think--->Organic Weight Loss Lotion

5 Hottest Fall Eco-Friendly Fashion Trends
- Denim- Organic cotton denim will be seen this fall in all shapes and sizes. Traditional cotton farming uses 1/3 of a pound of pesticide and fertilizer for just one cotton shirt. Purchasing organic cotton does a lot for the environment. Eco-friendly denim is easily found now with organic fashion becoming more popular. Many online stores sell organic cotton denim & the latest trendy fabric, bamboo.

- Vegan Shoes- As we know vegan shoes are made with out leather or any animal by-product. Satin, canvas and microfibers are the most common materials used to make up these cute and comfortable shoes.

- Blazers- Blazers are back! They will be available in fair-trade and organic cotton options. Loyale Clothing offers a trendy blazer made from 100% organic terry. There is even eco-fleece studio jacket that is made from recycled plastic bottles.

Why You Should be Eco- Friendly
Fast Facts
1 recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a television for 3 hours.
After a coal-burning power plant closed in 2006 there was a 60% drop in developmental problems in children born after the shutdown
Glass that is thrown away and ends up in landfills will never decompose.
Do your part and go green. organic fashion is one step in the right direction.
Itzy Ritzy. Moms go Green
Kids are so cute.
Organic Fashion for BabiesNot only did I fall in love with this green company
because of their fashion; The children in the ads are just so cute. I couldn't resist but place the pictures of these adorable kids on here. Usually I shun celebrities spending outrageous amounts of money on children apparel that won't last a week BUT Itzy Ritzy is made for the average loving parent. A trendy, affordable eco-friendly company.
Are you a person of style? Itzy Ritzy has a "Born Into Style" approach to mother-baby fashion. Itzy Ritzy is customized for the exceptional and hip baby and mother or father duo.
The Go Green Factor is in their use of Baby Bamboo. Honestly, I had never heard of Baby Bamboo till I checked out their website for consideration for being featured here. Apparently it is a eco-friendly fabric, like regularbamboo it is sustainable and grown without pesticides or fungicides. After hearing this I wanted something made from Baby Bamboo*my friend has a bamboo t-shirt it is so soft*
the cloth is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and deodorizing.
**wow; that takes a lot of work out of caring for babies**
Bamboo fabric even has an inherent UV protection factor and just to make this company that much more amazing the fabrics ARE machine washable! So make a difference NOW reduce, reuse, recycle & go green!
Celebrities galore have been loving this boutique fashion, to name a few... Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Melissa Joan Hart, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Gwen Stefani & Nicole Richie.
I would say this company is a organic fashion- they are useful, conscientious, fashionable, available and eco-friendly

Isaac Mizrahi Goes Green
or not...

Not only is Isaac Mizrahi using the salmon skin for shoes- he also made a collection which I believed appeared at fashion week. Mizrahi's dress and shoes are made of discarded skins of Alaskan salmon. The dress has the Alaskan salmon sewn onto chiffon. Eco-fashion is growing but even Isaac said
"Frankly, unless something is really glamorous and amusing, I'm not going to sell my artistic principles short for the sake of 'going green.'"
The honest designer is able to keep his "artistic principles" in tact. Would you wear Alaskan Salmon skin if it was available at Target .
Passchal Eco-Friendly Designer Handbag
A purse that can go anywhere
hot fashion 2009this seasons it bag
So everyone has been made well aware of the IT "green"/ eco- friendly/ environmentally conscious bag of last season but- lets be honest- it was not versatile. In short the I'm Not a Plastic Bag handbag was far from night-out-on-the-town-friendly...well just look at the picture...

But luckily we have a new 2009/10...
green meets sexy bag
This Bag ((my favorite)) is more than recycled burlap it is from eco-friendly materials. It's cool because it is made from recycled truck & tractor tire inner tubes. They get the tractor tubes and tires from virginia and ohio.Yeah truck and tractor inner tubes with eco-friendly leather is a Beautiful thing!!!
Passchal handbags come with an automatic light system that illuminates the interior when the bag is opened. The Passchal bag has made a huge impact on the environment and the fashion world.
boutique bag at department store prices!
The Passchal Handbag
has a look of class for a cheap price and don't forget it is helping the environment one bag at a time. Passchal has removed over 2 tons of rubber to date,

I would say this is a organicfashion- they are useful, conscientious, fashionable, available and eco-friendly
How the World will be in the year 2512
How do you expect the world to be in 2512? At the current rate with fear of global warming and gas guzzling S.U.V.'s where do you see people living at in 2512-maybe the moon?
My prediction:
falasharegina, at 9am on July 17, 2009 predicts:
that everything will be just fine. Life will be the same in 2512 as in 2012 except we will have cell phones/laptops so small that they are built into our heads.

cjsysreform, at 8pm on July 18, 2009 predicts:
Environmental damage can be slowed but not reversed. I hate to say it but I think we will be feeling the effects of global warming a lot more in 2512.
At least maybe then the deniers will have to admit that global warming is a reality.
