Origami Dragon

Origami is an ancient paper folding art from Japan. The point is to create a complete model out of square sheet of paper using geometric folds, and preferably without gluing or cutting the paper. Unlike today, the ancient origami rules were not that strict. Origami uses a small amounts of simple fold patterns, which combined result in countless models and variations.

One of the most fascinating origami models are origami dragons. Like all origami models, they could be as simple as the traditional origami crane(and in fact, some simple origami dragons are modified origami cranes) or as complex as 10 hours of precise work.

One of the most notable origami masters is Satoshi Kamiya. Folding origami from the age of two, he quickly mastered the art of origami, and ever since created dozens of dozens of origami models. His most known works are two origami dragons: The Divine Dragon called Bahamut, and the Ancient Dragon.

Satoshi draws inspiration from and bases his origami models including the dragons on the Japanese manga and the famous Final Fantasy video games.
