Crafters - Store Your Stuff in Style!

Last year I spent a lot of time and quite a bit of money making a workspace for myself, my laptop, my writing and my art and craft materials. We have a huge bedroom so I bought two 12 drawer storage units, a solid beech work surface, an artist's adjustable table, a comfortable executive chair and a bookcase. I painted and decorated, making it all creamy and bright. There's lovely, I thought, now I'm happy; now I have my special place... and then I saw these.

Huh!

The money I spent on all that stuff and I could have had this!

Fabulous Features of the Scrapbox

Or... why I wish I'd waited....

~ The Scrapbox is a workspace and storage solution all in one.

~ It's on wheels so is easy to move around with little effort.

~ It folds away and looks like a lovely armoire, so will not look out of place in any room.

~ Several finishes ensure it will compliment your decor.

~ The worktable is collapsible and all shelves are adjustable.

~ There are 85, count 'em, 85 removable totes, which means all your stuff is transportable. Going to a class - throw what you need into a tote and off you go!

~ You have 5 different sizes of totes. Store magazines, albums, paper, scraps, art materials, pens, notebooks, journals, books, reference material, CDs, DVDs, fabric, sewing notions, patchwork, craft supplies, tarot decks... oh anything you can think of.

~ There are 20 velcroed transparent pouches in three sizes - see your bits and pieces easily and take them with you any time.

It's about time! Julie Morgenstern has written an organizing book that covers a new way of looking at the task of organizing effectively without labeling or blaming the person behind the lack of organization. Rather, she says, people who don't organize just never learned how to organize, through no fault of their own--after all, it's not a skill that's taught in school. That said, she gets down to work helping you figure out an organizing system that will really work for you, not a system based on cookie-cutter filing concepts or special storage units.

Eliminate Chaos is a user-friendly system for organizing each room of the house, including the kitchen and pantry, closet, garage, home office, and childrens' rooms. The author's ten-step system is presented in an easy-to-use, workbook-style layout. Full-color photos demonstrate the various stages of the organizing process, illustrating not just "before and after," but the realistic, messy, all-important steps in between. Leist's method is based on the underlying principle that "it's not about the stuff." She touches on the psychological reasons behind clutter and not letting go - such as procrastination, denial, thrift, and family history - but her underlying premise is that being organized is an on-going process, not a one-day event. By learning to sort, prioritize, and make fast, rational decisions about their household goods, readers become more efficient and functional not just at home, but in other areas of life as well.
