2rightfeet. Original photography

I am an artist pulled, I guess, in two directions. Photography and Writing.

Photography is the the road I have wandered, or should that be wondered, down over the last few years, working with dancers and endeavouring to produce work to submit to galleries and exhibitions.

And writing...been a bit of a dry spell recently, but I love expressing ideas through words. I would love to be involved in writing screenplays for TV and this may well be my direction next year.

Now if I could only combine the two.....!

New to this lens thing, so just feeling my way at the moment

2rightfeet blog re-launched

a better way to host a blog

I have now re-launched the 2rightfeet blog and it is now hosted by the wonderful www.wordpress.com, a much better way to host a blog than having it as part of your own webspace in my opinion. Its aims have changed and it now concentrates on my new work which is a result of my now rare dips into photography.

The different areas of 2rightfeet

Below are links and a brief description of the various sections of my website.
Dance Imagery
The original theme for 2rightfeet.com and the main reason for its launch in 2002. I am interested in hearing from companies, dancers and choreographers.
Art
My background is in art so I have always approached photography in this way.

This work is ongoing and created for submission for exhibitions and galleries.
Fashion & Models
A recent development on the site though one I had previously had experience within during my days assisting in London studios.
Portraiture
Portraiture has always interested me and is, definately, an area I would like
to continue exploring. It is expressed in two ways.

1-The commercial aspect of casting/audition shots for actors and dancers.

2-The more expressive and abstract work which links into the art side of my work.
Restoration and Repair
Again another area that came about through chance rather than design! My way of working meant I learnt quite a bit about manipulating imagery and this lends itself to repairing damaged photographs and other aspects of image enhancement.

Dance Imagery

an example of my work

For the last few years most of my work has involved dance photography. This has covered quite a wide area from shots that dancers' need for their portfolio through to limited edition imagery for submission to galleries and exhibitions.

I was looking at other lenses in the group and saw the one created by Elizabeth Stringer

Looking at her portfolio I read more about www.artwanted.com and decided to join and create a page...Lens networking in action! So many thanks to Elizabeth.

A new area for me, developing a page on tumblr.
