The Original and Basic Potato Soup
There's not much else to say except it's so yummy!
Ingredients:
6 potatoes
1-2 cups of milk
1 stick of butter or margarine (butter tastes better)
salt and pepper
Here's what to do:
Start a large pot of water boiling. While waiting on the water to boil, peel, rinse, and chop potatoes into cubes. Boil potatoes for around 15 minutes or until soft. Strain, melt butter in the same large pot adding the milk slowly. Pour in potatoes and add salt and pepper to taste. Heat until hot, serve with crackers.
Variations:
You can add Velveeta Cheese for a cheesier soup.
Ham if you like to eat meaty soups, you can also add carrots, celery, or onions. Try adding a combination of a few of those listed above. I also like to add cream of mushroom soup. It makes the soup creamier and gives it just a hint of mushroom flavor!
Have fun cooking!
